New with OBD11, I have successfully codified almost everything, I have read all the pages of this forum and others, and as many I would like to thank the collaboration of DV52 and others that their contributions are remarkable.


I wonder if someone could disable the legend of care when reversing. I read it in another site but it does not accept the access code, it's obviously wrong because it's out of range.

@Kevlarman, its correct, tweak is from Autoinstruct site. All others codings are correct except this.

Enable FOB with car running works great.
You can use the remote within the car to release the hatch, and my favourite, you can leave the engine running, get out the car, and lock it.

For the mk7, this function is enabled via an adaptation channel change as follows:

1. For older BCMs, IDE05142-ENG115754-Access control-Funk bei Klemme 15 ein > active
2. For newer BCMs ENG141651-ENG115754-ZV allgemein-Funk bei Klemme 15 ein > active

Of course, you will need to use the venerable magic number 31347

You are right though, the setting change enables the key to work inside the car and outside the car with the engine running.

Just curious: in what circumstances would you need to keep the engine running with the doors locked? I suppose the only thing I can think of is leaving pets/kids/partner in the car while you duck out to the shops.

I believe some states have laws against leaving a running vehicle "unattended."

Release of hatch from within car.
Defrost the Canberra frosty mornings car, without anyone desiring to drive off in my car 😎

tapachula: hi . I have not seen your tweak instruction before. I've also not seen 71679 used as a security code in the ABS module @ address hex03.

I have started a list of security codes HERE which you are welcome to try on your tweak instructions.

Please be aware that control modules will lock-out if you enter the wrong security code. If this happens, the lock-out time can be upward of 20 minutes and the time is measured with the ignition switched-on

Please provide feedback if your tweak instructions are successful

I do like your old tweak for incandescent tails at post #454 (page 46) of this thread.
Should this same tweak work with LED tails on Mk 7 R, or is there somethings different needed ?
I tried searching the rest of this thread, but with #1479 posts and counting, its a small needle in my haystack.

bgroper: hi. I'm confused - post #454 is about adding the brake function to the inner tail lights. I have adaptation channel maps from a couple of Aussie R's in my database (LED fittings) with the following settings for the inner tail lights

As you can see - these Leuchte-sets already have the inner lights programmed for the brake function as a factory setting (on Lichtfunktion A). What have I missed?

From the factory my 7.5R rear LEDS did not use the inner tails as brake lights.

Last week I coded my rear inner tails to come on with the other brake lights. They work, but they're not as bright as the outer tails. I'll try and get a picture at night.

Don, would you like a copy of my virgin adaptation channel, or do you already have one for an Aussie 7.5R?

I checked out the rear lights last night and I was mistaken; the inner tail lights seem to be just as bright as the outer ones when braking. They don't look like it in the daytime though.
