I don't have access to a mk7.5 at the moment, but just from a theoretical perspective, you might try the following

      Leuchte24SL HRA65
      Existing Setting New Setting
      Lasttyp 24 43-allgemeine LED 34 - LED Bremsleuchten
      Lampendefektbitposition 24 1A 1A
      Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 24 2A 2A
Lichtfunktion A 24 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) Brake light/Bremslicht
Lichtfunktion B 24 Parklicht rechts not active
      Dimmwert AB 24 127 100
Lichtansteuerung HD AB 24 Always Always
Lichtfunktion C 24 not active Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
Lichtfunktion D 24 not active Parklicht rechts
      Dimmwert CD 24 0 10
Dimming Direction CD 24 maximize maximize
Lichtfunktion E 24 not active not active
Lichtfunktion F 24 not active not active
      Dimmwert EF 24 0 0
Dimming Direction EF 24 maximize maximize
Lichtfunktion G 24 not active not active
Lichtfunktion H 24 not active not active
      Dimmwert GH 24 0 0
Dimming Direction GH 24 maximize maximize
      Leuchte23SL HLC10
      Existing Setting New Setting
      Lasttyp 23 43-allgemeine LED 34 - LED Bremsleuchten
      Lampendefektbitposition 23 A A
      Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 23 29 29
Lichtfunktion A 23 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) Brake light/Bremslicht
Lichtfunktion B 23 Parklicht links (beidseitiges Parklicht aktiviert li & re) not active
      Dimmwert AB 23 127 100
Lichtansteuerung HD AB 23 Always Always
Lichtfunktion C 23 not active Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
Lichtfunktion D 23 not active Parklicht links (beidseitiges Parklicht aktiviert li & re)
Dimmwert CD 23 0 50? (choose a value to suit)
Dimming Direction CD 23 maximize maximize
Lichtfunktion E 23 not active not active
Lichtfunktion F 23 not active not active
      Dimmwert EF 23 0 0
Dimming Direction EF 23 maximize maximize
Lichtfunktion G 23 not active not active
Lichtfunktion H 23 not active not active
      Dimmwert GH 23 0 0
Dimming Direction GH 23 maximize maximize
Please note that I have suggested that you reset the illumination level for Dimmwert CD on both Leuchte to a new value. Just from sitting here thinking about the change, it seems that you need a different illumination level between the Brake light function and the Parking light function - else the driver at the rear won't be able to easily distinguish from the inner lights when you are braking (hope this makes sense).

Anyhow try the above suggestion first. If my table above doesn't work - the other way that you might try is to simply copy the settings from the 2 x Brake lights onto the 2 x Leuchte-sets above (of course without changing Lampendefektbitposition or Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC channels )

      Don
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.

        • Automatically adjusting the time and date for daylight savings time has just come up in this thread for cars with MIBII. It should also automatically adjust the time on interstate trips. Daylight Saving Time ?

Make sure you have the time reading off GPS in the settings.

              • anyone know if you can turn on DAB on a Golf Mk7? I can see the setting in VCDS though is hardware needed as well? Will it work in Australia?

                Thanks

If you don't have a dab tuner you can't just enable it with software.
You need to have a discover Pro with DAB. If it's not active from factory you don't have a dab tuner.

                    • Hey all - can anybody tell me the difference between these adaptations?

                      17-Instruments
                      ENG153766-Tube_version
                      IDE02489-Display depiction

I've got both of mine set to Version 3 (to get what I think are the Golf R dials). Is it necessary to change both? The reason I ask is I noticed if I just change one of them to a different version - it changes the dials. But following some VCDS settings/instructions form these forums, it said to change both. I'm just wondering why, and what the difference is between them.

                      • Tube version is the different dials (couple of standard, gti and r)
display depiction is the different design in the centre between the dials (if standard clocks you can have a carbon fibre background, if AID then you get a bouncy ball background)

                        • Tube version is the instruments (GTI, R instruments) while display depiction is the graphics between the instruments (eg bouncing balls)

                            • Also on the display depiction on the AID it changes the colour to gold (so you have to do the colour mod to get the colours how you want them)
