maca: Being able to deactivate the DRL wink facility really depends on the module arrangement in your car. In recent model mk7s that have new left and right side LCMs (Light Control Modules) @ address hex29 & hex39, it's not possible to alter much at all on the DRLs.

    • Hey guys - anybody know if it's possible to change (or more specifically - set) a delay before auto hold kicks in? In the Arteon, pretty much the split second I come to a stop, auto hold engages.

What I would like to do is have it so say... it only comes on if I've been at a dead stop for 2secs+

      • Auto Hold depends on a brake force, use the pedal gently.

And it still works much better then in Audi A4 B8 - it tends to jerk because there it activates too quickly.

Yes, I'd like to change this as well!

While at it, is it possible to change the Auto Start Stop Engine in the same way?

On a separate note, it would be amazing if the Driving Mode had a memory. For example, when in Comfort the dash/cluster showed the map with the range and efficiency but when in Sport the dash showed Gear and Speed. Probably too much to ask.

Dream..: You could try something like this:

Select ABS Brake module @ address hex03
Select the adaptation channel Dynamic starting assist
Select one of the following settings "Early", "Normal" (default) or "Late"

              Thanks for this Don.
I did try this today but it made no difference to the auto hold. Not that I could tell anyway. To be honest, I'm not even sure if I detected any difference with anything, so I put it back to the default Normal setting.

If you had OBD11 Pro couldn't you just manually use the long coding to set the start/stop voltage threshold?

                  • Do you clean out your VAG before a service? Making it look untouched.

What I mean to say, do you reset your code changes before a service at a dealer?

I'd love this, it does this for the Infotainment system, but not the active info dash. I guess once more cars get the feature standard we might see it.

I'd love to me able to add quick toggles to the DAP button. I usually toggle Adaptive Lane assist on and off, but I rarely completely disable it. I haven't been able to find any lists to modify, but my gf has banned me from OBD11.

                      Good question.
I'm thinking I'll undo the cosmetic changes like Fog with DRL and TP and it's right there saying No TP

I wasn't planning on doing it for the first service.

When I had my Golf R, I used to reflash it to the stock mapping before taking it for a service, then would flash back the aftermarket ROM after, then I got lazy and didn't bother changing it at all. Made no difference to the couple of warranty claims I made.

                          • Hey Guys,

Im probably one of the few people that like stop/start but I've found the 'expanded restart function' where the engine will restart if the car in front creeps forward even the slightest distance to be VERY annoying in traffic where people will inch forward even if the car in front of them is stationary.

I haven't seen this mentioned on these forums but this can be turned off under ACC module > adaptions > 'expanded restart function' (potentially called 'advanced restart function') > deactivate.
