  • Hi Guys

I'm having some problems with enabling the acoustic signal (horn) confirmation when locking or unlocking my car. It is a VW Passat from Feb. 2015 (without an alarm).

I've done the next with no result:

In the 09-Central Elect. module, under 10-Adaptation (with security the code 31347)
    1. Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln active
    2. Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung global active
    3. Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn active
    4. Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln active
    5. Acknowledgement signals-Dauer der Akustischen Rueckmeldung vom Einfachhorn kurz
    6. Acknowledgement signals-Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung active

I've also enabled enabled the "Acoustic Confirmation" in the infotainment system.

Do you have any ideas what should I try ?

looks like your changes are OK - what happens and do you have any error messages?

        Hi Don,

I did a scan for error, and there are NO errors. I also tried keeping the "Car Start/Stop" button pressed for more then 10s and still no change. I've also read a Map of the 09 - Central Elect. module (the adaptation part) and indeed the values that I've changed are set to "active" and "kurz".

Any ideas regarding what could I try?

P.S. the changes were done using your instructions

        • Proton: hmm....... I'm very much guessing, but I am aware that the Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn channel setting in my instructions can be problematic if any part of the anti-theft alarm facility is active. I think that the assumption is that if the anti-theft alarm is operating, a siren is fitted to the car (hence the Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn channel setting should be not active)

There are a bunch of adaptation channels in the BCM (@ address hex09) related to the anti theft facility - they contain the term "anti theft device" and "DWA" (it's German for DiebstahlWarnAnlage which means car-alarm).

Just a suggestion, but have a look through your BCM admap and check is any of these channels have a setting of "active"

          • I activated the 'free alarm' feature without the interior monitoring on my 7.5 and the coding all seemed to work although I have no idea exactly what triggers the alarm or how it works? I haven't seen much info on forums other than the coding instructions - does anyone know exactly how it works?

              Hi Don

Is there a way to activate the SafeLock function?

No one can open or unlock the door from inside of the car if the car is locked.

              Thanks

As Rainesh correctly advises the facility is enabled/disabled by either:

                  For mk7 Golf
In BCM (@ address hex09)> Coding

                  For mk7.5
In BCM (@ address hex09) > Security Access -enter magic number, 31347 > Adaptation> ENG10579-ENG10924-ZV allgemein-ZV_ohne_Safe_Funktion change to "not installed"

BUT (and there is always a "but"), the Wiring Diagram for those mk7s that are fitted with "deadlocks" (SAFELOCK) appear to have an additional motor in the door lock unit.
                  See pic below:

So - it's unfortunately more than just a coding change

                  Don

                  • Hello community, I ask if any of you would help me to find the items to activate the automatic closing of the windows in case of rain in a Golf MK7 2013.
I have performed the procedure of DV52 (Link: VCDS (VAG-COM) codes and programmable options for Golf Mk7) that in the first items everything is ok while as I enter Codink I can not find the entries:

                    So far everything is ok.

From here on I can not find the rumors:

                    -Access control 2-Regenschliessen_ein_aus.
                    -Access control 2-Regenschliessen_art

These are my entries in Access Control 2:

                    Thank You!!!

I recently found an interesting German video (copy below) showing Dual LED rear lamps that flashed asynchronously when the turn signal was operated. Clever folk those Germans!!
Has anyone done this (the pace car LED turn signals) on a Mk7.5 Wagon (they don't have the trailing lights like the hatches do, but two LED panels similar to the 7's)?

Looks like the wagon has the same tails as the pre-2019 MK7.5 GTI, which only has the indicators on the outer tailight, not inner and outer. The inner being reverse and fog.
So not sure it would work.

Unfortunately the R line light units do not have inner DRL or indicators like the GTi and R. You would need a set of lights from those cars to get the same function.

As others have mentioned, only the outer clusters have turn signals in them (therefore not offering another section of light to counter-flash the outer lights).

What I want to know is if there’s a way to activate the LEDs on the boot lid cluster (that line up with the outer brake lights) to light up as brake lights (similar to those on the Mk7 LED lights), and if there’s a way for the brake light to act as a turn signal?

Maca: In respect of your second question I'm almost certain that it is possible - whether it's road legal to have this US style operation of the outer brake lights is of course an entirely different question. If you can post-up an adaptation channel map from your BCM, I will have a look and make a suggestion.
