    • Is there some way to dim the 7.5 led front fog lights? I was planning to enable the fogs so that they are constantly on, switch in Auto position. But would like them to be more dimmer so that they do not attract the police. Only when I pull the light switch for the fogs to be normally on, then they would be full brightness.

Or would it be easier for this to work if it is only like this if the light switch is fully turned to right.

hmm........ you could add the "Terminal 15" Leuchte-command to an unused Alpha channel and then use a lower value in the associated Dimmwert channel ("Terminal 15" is the function of turning-on the ignition) - but the Leuchte-sets for the two front fog lights needs to be active.

If the setting for ENG116949-ENG116119-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lasttyp 13 on your mk7.5 is NOT not active, try this:

Go to the BCM (@ address hex09) - then enter the magic number 31347 as the security code:

          Right-side front fog-light
          ENG116949-ENG116564-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion C 13 change to Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand
ENG116949-ENG116128-Leuchte13NL RB5-Dimmwert CD 13 change to 50 (or, any value you want)

          Left-side front fog-light
          ENG116948-ENG116107-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion C 12 change to Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand
ENG116948-ENG116109-Leuchte12NL LB45-Dimmwert CD 12 change to 50 (or, any value you want)

As explanation, according to Mr Google, Klemme 15 mit Nachlauf bis Fahrzeugstillstand translates to Terminal 15 with overrun until vehicle standstill - so the fog-lights will (should?) illuminate whenever the ignition is turned-on, or the vehicle rolls (without ignition-on). The suggested changes won't (shouldn't?) affect the normal operation or the illumination level of the fog-light - when the center part of the rotary light switch is pulled-out.

Of course, I make no judgement regarding the suitability of the change to the fog-light operation with the prevailing road laws in your part of the world (I've never been to Hell -but I suspect that I will be a resident there after I pass). You should satisfy yourself about this matter before implementing the tweak

Finally, if you do try this untested tweak - please share your observations

          Don

PS:Is there a road-sign as you approach your place of residence saying "Abandon hope all ye who enter here"?

But i think it is not fully correct
at least Brakes specified incorrectly in byte 4 and 14.
I think the correct values are 24 in byte 4 and 29 in byte 14. But ABS did not accept such changes.
is there any one who could help me with proper coding?
My car is VW golf 7, 1.4TSI 140Hp, DSG7. Front brakes are 288mm, rear brakes 272 mm.

                Thanks!

Can you specify Car, engine and transmission?

Also I think that coding is similar for all H42 ABS and may be even similar to H31. Probably you have other H42 ABS coding.
As I know byte0 is define car type.
                01 - VW Golf 7
                04 - VW Golf 7 Variant
                1A - Skoda Octavia A7
                1D - Skoda Superb III

                Byte4 is a front brakes:
                14 - 270 mm
                24- 288 mm
                34 - 312 mm
                54 - 340 mm
                Byte14 is rear brakes:
                25 - 253 mm
                29 - 272 mm
                68 - 310 mm
                Byte17 is main brakes cylinder
                24 - for cars <=110 kWt
                28 - for cars 1.2TSI
                2C - 135/155 kWt
                2A - >168 kWt

Bytes 5,7,9,11,13 is calculated from VIN and can be taken from old ABS coding.

here is calculator to calculate this bytes from VIN

There's a nice video, and instructions.

Yes, it did take a bit of searching to find this good info in the forum. A small shame we don't have an index or master list for all the tweaks.
But wait, I just found the index at MkVII VCDS Tweak - Reference thread
and it references the very same post I found too.

remember on the 7.5 there’s no long coding in the central electronics, but there is a subsystem you need to long code instead (rhls or something like that)and the access control 2 adaptions are under zv_komfort
