VCDS (VAG-COM) codes and programmable options for Golf Mk7
I can't remember which specific adaptation channels I changed; I'll have to go look through my logs. Yes, I have rear LEDs with dynamic turn signals.
Here's what they look like now
I've also coded the outer lights to light up when the hatch is opened, and for the high mount (3rd) brake light to light up when I'm in reverse, to give the reversing camera more illumination.

It seems like 7.5 is using HLC10 and HRA65 channels for tail lights like on non-led 7?
Has anyone got a 7.5 with manoeuvre brake function activated? I have a 7.5 with drivers assist package and didn't realise I didn't have it until recently - It's listed as an adaption on my parking assistance module using OBD11 but if I try to activate it I get a 'function cancelled, marginal conditions have not been met' message on the app - anyone know of a way to activate it? Ive heard it may require the parking assistance module software to be updated but then if its listed as an adaption on the current software shouldn't it be possible?

Same here. I have press the button leaving my driveway every morning.
It's embarrassing when it does it when the car is warm, and shuts the engine off. To anyone outside the car it looks like you've stalled it and are having problems driving.

The weird thing is that when it engages the brakes it sounds exactly like it would if you scraped the front splitter or rear diffuser on the asphalt. The first time it happened I had to wait until I got to my destination to see if I really did scrape on the ground.
Not sure how many VCDS cable users have downloaded the latest RT software (version 18.2.0), but it's been reported on the RT forum that it's now possible to read launch control numbers on some cars.
I have tried accessing this new feature on my MY13 model and whilst I can now see a form of the Launch Control feature, it's clearly not available on this early version car - see screen shot below:
Can someone with a newer version mk7 please try finding the Launch Control counter on their car - please? The facility is in the transmission module (i.e. Auto Trans module @ address hex02), in Advanced Measuring Values. Just type "launch" into the search box. If it is possible to read launch control numbers on your car, you should get something like this:
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.

Hi Don,
I downloaded VCDS 18.2.0 and used my Micro-CAN to read my 7.5R. I can see the launch control count as in your above picture, however mine reads 0. Of course, I haven't used launch control yet! In the next few days I should be hitting the magic 1600k on my motor, at which point I'll try a launch or two and see if the counter changes.
I also scanned my MY13 GTI (which I have launched) but the counter does not exist.
^^^ many thanks - seems like later model mk7s do indeed have the counter!

as as new owner of VW Golf GTI and new to the forum, I am looking for someone local, Sydney northern suburbs, with a VAG COM cable who could assist me with some coding? If possible, I would like to code my car’s tails lights to work in conjunctions with daytime running lights. Would anyone know whether this is possible at all on this model car, as my VW dealership does not know what I am talking about?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
