  • Is there a way to program that little circle in the tack to be a shift light like the Subaru sit models?

As for your problem - if you are referring to the LED at the intersection of the brake and indicator light, then the normal fix is as follows:
Depending on the version of the central electrics module, search for either, Driving light and parking light for older modules, or Aussenlicht_Heck for newer modules. Then select Schlusslicht mit Bremslichtfunktion and set as active.

      Hi Don.

Finally got around testing your suggesrion. Unfortunately this setting changes nothing. Borh active and inactive is same result (LED is off no matter what)

      Any suggestions?

Sasquatch: hmm.......... bummer - I'm running out of suggestions fast!! One last thing you could try - here is a copy of the new "yellow" long coding helper screen for Byte 6 of the BCM:

Notice the Bit 7 descriptor which translates into Aussie English to "Brake light is also Blinker" . Make sure that Byte 6, Bit 7 is set on your BCM and if this doesn't work, try changing the adaptation channel in my first response in conjunction the Bit change.

          • Anyone can give me the parameters on VAG COM on how to regulate the volume of radio when OPS is engaged?

Mine does that but it's aftermarket kit, and I'd like to know if with VAG COM I can disable this feature.

            Thanks.

Can't access that module because, but it's there.

Maybe the module does it itself?

                My module is this one:

are you sure that you registered the new module in the CAN Gateway list when it was installed?

The module is not original. It's from GT Alarm.

It does the same function as original module.

Via VAGCOM I can't access that module because it's aftermarket and not original part.

I tried to make active the parking sensor menu on radio car settings menu and the option does not appear, it's because that doesn't have information from module?

cgentil: OK - that being the case, why would you believe that the new module which appears to operate independent of the factory fitted Park Assist module and "doesn't have information from module" would allow VCDS access to address hex10?

Clearly there must be a replication and/or thieving by the new module.of at least some of the CAN communications data that would normally be managed by the Park Assist module (J791).

I have no idea how the CAN Gateway decides which data to divert to which module - is the GT Alarm module even connected to the running-gear-CAN-bus, or is it some form of LIN connection? If the latter, where is the comms wire from the GT alarm connected (i.e to which factory module is the GT Alarm module a slave)? If the former, how does the CAN Gateway resolve the conflict of two modules performing some of the same functions?

And if there is no CAN/LIN connection to the car's substantive comms network from the GT Alarm module (OPS) at all, then why would you expect that access to the J791 module would allow for volume/frequency variation (if VCDS was able to see the hex10 address location)?

                        • Can someone please post the VCDS code to disable the “nag” screens on the new Infotainment Pro in the new Golf.

                            Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I only have that GT Alarm module.

But there's some info's about this module:

This is the kit they installed on car:

This is the Park view Module GT alarm:

                            Hope that can help.

                            • cgentil: OK - as I suspected, the "GT Alarm module" is directly wired into the CAN bus.

Try entering "10", or "76" into the "Direct Entry" box at the bottom of the Select Control Module screen (see below)

Failing this - and I'm guessing again, but the new module must be thieving some of the CAN messages that would normally be the responsibility of the OEM module (i.e. J791). Clearly this has the side-effect of masking the module @ address hex10 from CAN Gateway module when it's performing the Diagnostic function. Very strange behavior, but probably something that can be best resolved through the GT alarm module manufacturer IMO. Non OEM - third party products can be tricky to fault-find (if this is indeed a fault- which it might not be)!

The module 10 it's appearing on VAGCOM but I can't access that module, it gives me error.

But after this module installation, and I advised VW I got this error, and they said it's normal, it should be? I can't delete that error.
