Welcome mate. Side grills pop out, center section can be a pain. Can cut it out as no need to go back and not really worth anything.

Welcome aboard - you're off to a flying start!
We really need to get this Melbourne Polo (all models) group going. There's a Vic cruise coming up, early next month, where we may be able to get things organised. Interested in joining in?Resident grumpy old fart

Most likely yes. After I get these minor things changed over, next up on my cards is a new headunit (hence having the single din slot ready) and whilst I have that removed, hopefully look into running a usb/power cable from the 12V upto the dash cubby, to provide power directly to my GPS, as I quickly found that the cigarette lighter one is getting in the way of 5th gear...
After that, get used to the current power and feel of the car, and then investigate a tune and Seat intake and BMC filter. If I can track down an intake that is.2008 Polo GTI, lower honeycomb grills, PD160.

I believe it's just the pedal covers (rubber bits with decorative metal inserts) that are changed. They just slip on/off.2007 VW Polo GTi, white, standard. First registered in Japan, imported to NZ 2010. Owned since Dec/10. Love at first drive.

I'm particularly impressed by the very low idle speed.
I strongly suspect that's the reason the check engine light is on. (Low oil pressure/voltage.)2007 VW Polo GTi, white, standard. First registered in Japan, imported to NZ 2010. Owned since Dec/10. Love at first drive.

The 3.9 was the average consumption (l/100km) so far on that trip, though.
