Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • They look pretty similar, if not identical, to what's on mine, too. I don't know if they're different or not.

Tonight I was going to have a crack at installing the parts I've already bought (Stubby antenna, Dash Cubby, Honeycomb Grills, Audi TT pedals [Also a Single Din tray for later on with a new headunit]) but it's bloody freezing in Melbourne tonight, and sure enough, it's raining too.

NB, can anyone link me some information on changing over the front grills and the pedals? I've been searching for an hour now for the pedals and found nothing, so I'm really hoping that means it's simple. Have yet to start searching for a how to on the Grills yet though*.

*Found the thread for them, and looks simple enough to do. Now to just wait for daylight...
To me it sounds like he has a Polo GTI .. which is why I questioned the pedals

            • Just a tad under 3 months and I've done 10,000k's in the RS but whilst I had the Polo Gti which is now sold, I averaged about 35,000k's per year.

                      • almost 3.5yrs and 37,000km. It's not from a lack of wanting to drive, but it only gets driven on weekends and rarely does it really get driven anymore.

                        • Paid for my Forge short shifter, and still struggling to get my PLX Kiwi Wifi to work with DashCommand. I think I'll get there's eventually, but disappointed with it so far. If you are looking at getting this, just be careful, it's not as user friendly as it is advertised.

                          • I've been using my Galaxy Tab and the Android app Torque as a cheap alternative. Bluetooth OBD II adaptor off eBay was cheap and works OK.
