I would suggest the Seat bushes for control arm, or you can take my partially used Whiteline ones if you want...
All assuming they have not yet been bought.
Already bought. That being said, anything is better than the standard bushes, man they have a sh-itload of play
MY07 Polo GTi Last run - 114.8kw atw Winton - 1:52.7130
God I hope thats true. All I really want in life from my Pog (after a remap and KW coilovers) is to have a gear shift like the original MX5. You just lay your forearm on the centre console and lightly but with purpose move your wrist while ringing the guts out of it. Better than sex. This sounds like a good mod.
I really want more reviews on the short shift before I decide to jump in. I do drive a lot in rush hour, and making the shift a lot more hard work is not my goal. I do like the idea of shorter shift though... I hear that there is a setting from short to short-short. What sort of extra effort are we talking here? My car currently with all washers replaced do slot in very nicely. Mind you Integra Type-R DC5 JDM shifts were pretty slick also...
06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.
Better?? Perhaps you're thinking of the other wrist action, haha
Haha. Nope. I remember a particular drive through the Gold Coast hinterland in a weekend hire MX5 in 1991. I don't think I've ever driven a car that hard since. God it was fun. Death awaited at every corner but i laughed in it's face while the wind flew over my head at a cyclonic rate. And yeah, it beat any sex anyone has ever had that i can imagine (and my imagination is not too bad..)
Had the APR trial run installed. To be honest I was left a little underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, it's quick, however it wasn't as punchy as I was hoping.
With that said I was made aware that the trial run was the Version 1 whereas the V2 is the way to go for down low grunt.
Will have to sleep on it I think, even with the discount at the moment it's still a lot of coin!
New tyres arrived today and the wheels will be here on Monday

Maybe checkout the alternatives. I've had good experience with my Viezu tunes and friends have had good results from DNA Tuning - both are far cheaper than APR.
Then there's GIAC, CustomCode, Superchips, Evo Technik...
Resident grumpy old fart VW - Metallic Paint, Radial Tyres, Laminated Windscreen, Electric Windows, VW Alloy Wheels, Variable Geometry Exhaust Driven Supercharger, Direct Unit Fuel Injection, Adiabatic Ignition, MacPherson Struts front, Torsion Beam rear, Coil Springs, Hydraulic Dampers, Front Anti-Roll Bar, Disc Brakes, Bosch ECU, ABS
Definately give DNA tuning a run for its money mate. Had my Skoda Octavia RS tuned by John (DNA tuning) and extremely happy. Plus, it cost me about half of what APR wanted to charge. However if you really had to go with APR due to the marketing and hype etc etc etc...then go with V2 tune as that's what I have on my pog. Really depends on what you want. High end or low down power? Everyone's driving style is different and so is their ability to spend and thoughts of bang for your bucks over just going with a certain crowd. At the end of the day, its up to you.
