Car didn't like the Pod filter where it was.
Removed the N75 Race, back to stock. Removed the bottom half of the airbox and made the connection to the airbox longer, made a better shield. Not something I find easy, but enjoying this mini project. The car seems happier with the stock N75 and better separation from the engine / turbo heat. Still hot under there when standing still, will have to have a look at improving the channelling of air to the filter, make sure its getting the access to cool air and the hot air is well segregated.
The initial spooling noise has become louder without the bottom half of the airbox, I feel like a jet-engine at 2500 revs. Its almost funny to hear the Polo spooling up at such low revs compared to the skylines (my boost sounds more like a skyline than any other car IMO).
1st dodgy version:

Current Dodgy version:

If the airbox does not go back in, I'll do it nicely with colour coded silocone and a heat shield made of a better material and more engineered to meet up with the bonnet lining, etc. For the testing its adequate.
For anyone else playing, I think the MAF would benefit from being further from the POD, I ran out of room to have another section to extend this distance. I think I need a 3" bend, something more than 45deg, but less than 90. Think I might be dreaming, but Ebay is full of interesting stuff...
