Got my Pioneer AVIC-F900BT installed, rear speakers and reversing camera. The car installer said my PAC canbus was not turning the unit off when the key was on ACC, so i got him to use one of his canbus units. Come to think of it, the RCD200 radio did not turn off until i pulled the key out! My canbus unit may well not be broken...... Anyways, updated my maps to R18.. at least got a win there

hahaha are u serious? exact same thing happened to me. I gave them a CAN-01 and it was faulty so ended up using one of their units aswell. My AVIC just turns off when i turn the key off, im not really fussed there.

I hope they looked after you I was back there last thursday to have some rear speakers fitted. Should be back there in a couple of months again for the reversing camera - where did you get yours from (reversing camera)? oh, and how did you get your maps updated to R18?

Yeah, since they may not know about the ACC power until you take out the key, I'm out $145 extra for their canbus unit if mine is not faulty... Got the camera from ebay. Here are some pics..




This is what it looks like from Avic unit. Picture is reversed and you get guide lines, dunno how useful they are!

As for maps, they are easy to update, I had R16.2 maps (PM me), you just need version 3.0 firmware on your avic (i have 4.0) as shown below:

Gave the car a wash and detail, then pulled the rear sway bar bushes out and realigned them... Then it rained!!

Do you have the link to the ebay one?
I have confirmed with Ian from Rennenhaus that this kit from Forge will not fit the 9N, despite what the website says.
Also searched some older threads and this one also states the same.

For what it's worth, the group buy pricing was $95, plus $10 delivery. Minimum 10 units.
Buying direct from the UK site is already $110, before you add international shipping, so it would've been a pretty good deal.
If anyone who frequents the Golf section wants to pass on this info, they can contact Rennenhaus to organise it.
