Hey Guys, what is the stock sound system (console unit) for the MY12 Golf R?

I don't plan to tick the box for the Dynaudio upgrade, just wondering what the (overall) capabilities are for the car above. All I really need it for is my iPod.

I'd say go for it.

It'd cost a lot more to get an aftermarket system to sound this good.

Too late, already paid my deposit. Pretty happy with what I was able to get (esp because my wait isn't nearly as long as others on this forum - poor souls).

Any idea what's a reasonable offer to make to dealer for this model?

Saw this when we sent our 77TSi to Gold Coast VW for its first 1k servicing.

The pics aren't of the real thing.

But from what I can tell when I was there, it has the following:

• 19" black rims (and black trim on headlights)
• ACC
• Leather
• Motorized driver's seat

So this thing come with Motor sport seat or leather? I would try around 60k, what do you think, mate

I don't know what a fair price is. I keep hearing guys getting sub 55k for loaded Rs

I understand the buyer backed out at the last minute.

It has Vienna leather as well as the motorized driver's seat option.

No one has got a "loaded" R for sub 55k. A loaded R has a drive away RRP of around $77k (even more in some states), and I don't recall ever seeing anyone get a $10,000 discount on an R, let alone a $20,000+ discount....


They are saying that the drive away price is $65,970. My spreadsheet says that's pretty accurate. If you WERE to get that for $60k flat, that'd be a 9.05% discount. That'd be a good discount! More is possible I guess... though it is a car in stock, and there is usually more customer demand for immediate delivery...

5 Door R avail.

Not sure where to post this but here seems like a good spot.

Basically I cancelled my 5 door R order recently,due to work commitments (I require a vehicle sooner rather than later unfortunately). It is currently in transit to Aus. it has;

*Candy White
*DSG
*Leather Interior (Not the racing seats)
*19" Black Talladegas
*ACC
*Bluetooth
*MDI
*Sunroof

Ordered from Central Coast Volkswagen early april.

So if anybody is after one with those options, give David and the team up in gosford a bell.
