^^May? Thats a short wait comparing it to 9 months or so I got told here in Sydney!
Maybe I should drive down to Victoria and order one......
Oh I am dreaming of a white...3dr...manual...sunroof...19' black wheels..
is it true that they are discontinuing the 3dr?
Well either they've invented teleporters and I've just been living under a rock, or dny has selected a car which is already on the boat on its way, which means he was either lucky to find one with the options he wanted, or he compromised!
Hey. Got a R on order in manual, despite not being able to test drive one before ordering and I was wanting to know if it comes with a short shifter or just the regular one? I currently have a 103TDI that seems to take an eternity to get the stick from one gear to the next and I also have a WRX that is real snappy. I test drove a manual GTI which seems to have the same shifter as the TDI but I was hoping for a bit more in the R, can anyone shine any light on this for me? Also, if the stick is the same as the GTI/TDI has anyone had any experience in after market ones on the R?
aah... but then you have an even larger choice of aftermarket paddle extensions to make manual shifting of the DSG during spirited driving more practical/enjoyable...
Golf R 5dr
Manual
United Grey (don't want anyone to notice it)
Options: ACC & Dynaudio (only because the MDI & Bluetooth are now free!)
Less than $54,000 drive away with corporate discount. I didn't even bother asking for any more off.
It's being deliverd to Victoria because I'm moving there in February 2012. The dealer says it WILL be there by then. I don't believe him...
Congrats Paul_R. There's 7 months until then, so there is a decent chance it'll be there. The first R orders took 6 months, and that's gone up to 9 months (based on guys such as SilvrFoxx), but hopefully it'll start coming back down and only be taking 7 months by the time it's your turn to take delivery.
