Removed the wastegate actuator and changed back to a 7psi spring. Found that the flapper arm was binding on the body of the turbo near full open so massaged that clear. Hands look like they've been pulled through a cheese grater. Running on a stage 2 tune now and feels really good.
Had the struts in and out today. Now its sitting on weitec lowered springs. Ride height is 330mm from centre of centre cap to guard lip. The control arm pivots are dead level. Wanted to press out my rear control arm bushes but couldn't get the ball joints to budge. Banged away but they wouldn't pop out and my ball joint pressing tool wouldn't fit under the CV housing. Didn't want to unbolts the ball joints from the control arm cos i'd loose my alignment setting. I think I'm going to have to use one of those ball joint wedges. I've never used one before. Does anyone who has find that they puncture your ball joint boots or will they separate the ball joint from the hub without ripping anything?

Get a bigger hammer Sam and apply some downward force on the arm when you hit the joint. They always go in the end.
yeah I think I was getting a bit girly and over it at the end. The trick I think is not to drink beer until you're all proud at the end of the job not during - i'll give that a go. I'll just swing harder too! . I've been told that a wedge will tear the boots on my lovely new ball joints so I won't be doing that.
i got front and rear S3 brakes a little while ago. I got them for a very good price both discs and pads are basically brand new. Only got the fronts on i didnt know that the rears needed 2wd not the 4wd carriers . Going to paint the wheels soon for more bling.
I mostly fiddled in prep for the stage1 ecu trial. And managed to break a tiny little hose that goes through the fire wall on the passenger side. Can someone tell me what it is?

I like the yellow calipers mate. Unfortunate the calipers always end up so dirty so quickly. I've got my rear calipers to install also, just haven't got around to ordering in the discs and pads to suit.
