Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi, seeking recommendations from Brisbane members on where I can get a dump pipe for the car? Any exhaust shop should be able to make one up, or should I be looking for something special? I suppose this would be a suitable time for a high-flow cat converter too? Thoughts?Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Performance wise, I wasn't expecting such a big change. On take off and change from 1st to 2nd there is very little or no fore/aft pitching. On the road the car feel planted, very settled and solid. I can feel the smaller changes in road surface a bit more at 60 kmh but it isn't unpleasant. Cornering is flat, no body roll for the roundabout rallying. On the freeway at 100+ the car just sits, planted. I *think* steering is a bit more responsive but need more road time to fully evaluate.
Overall impressions are very good. I will need to revisit tyre pressures but 38psi will probably stay the way to go.09 Polo GTi "Elke" | APR DV1 | H&R 35mm | Bilstein B8 | Remsa Pads | Pioneer |
