Test fitted new wheels - even with a 15mm spacer they still catch on the Porsche Brakes by about 3mm. And a 15mm spacer up front on 8's means a little too much poke. Brake downgrade happening tonight - going back to stock calipers so I can fit the wheels, possibly will need to space them by 10mm to clear coilovers, but unsure yet. No pictures until after ILV this weekend! Porsche brake setup now for sale $1000 inc delivery.
Will these fit the 6r polo and fit behind stockies?
Nah definitely not - they'd have to be spaced out by about 20-25mm? If you want to run spacers then you're okay.
They fit on 16's - fill out 17's and would still look good on 18's. 312mm brembo drilled and grooved disks, Porsche (Brembo) 4 Pot Calipers with OEM pads, Creation Motorsport carriers - HEL braided lines. I've run the kit for about 4,000km of highway driving - (3 months). Calipers would ideally want a new coat of clear, or powdercoating a different colour - they seem to have been in contact with brake fluid at some point, so they look matte black at the moment.
Depending on wheel style I'd say an offset of no more than 30 will clear, my Cayennes were 28 and had about 7-8mm clearance, but they were designed to be in front of a BBK.

Im running 15mm spacers up front on an et46 wheel atm and wouldn't want to go any more as it'd scrub guards too hard. Right now it gets a slight rub under cornering.

I wouldn't want to say 100% but they probably would fit - at ET31 - it'd only be a few mm's in it if it didn't. Like I said I had huge amount of clearance at ET28 - it's down to wheel design.

Offset is fairly irrelevant guys, it's all about back spacing in this case
This ^
brake clearance has NOTHING to do with offsets. its the design of the wheel.
you are taking a stab in the dark with different model wheels unless you have a template of either the wheel or the brake, or can physically fit them.
im going to do a write up one day with lots of pictures and diagrams to explain why one day because no one seems to take this is every time I write this and explain why.

Yep I have found a few sets that fit, mostly 5 spoke design as the spokes are not flat and usualy buldge out which gives clearance for caliper and wheel bolts of they are 3 piece
So got one side of the brake downgrade done last night - finishing the other side tonight. Just wondering if anyone knew the torque settings for the carrier and caliper?

Looking in the book i had for my MK3 it says Carrier 125Nm (92ft-lb)
Hi, done a little search but wanted reassurance re engine oil and gearbox oils.
Engine oil - anything that meets VW 502 / 505 requirements will suffice. A few have recommended Mobil 1 0w-40. Good enough?
Gearbox oil - was going to run redline as I've read that's the most appropriate. Is there a specific sort/grade and where to get it from? Can't recall seeing it in supercheap, etc.
Will see VW for a geniune oil filter and sump plug.
That's all I need isn't it?
Also still waiting on all my new brake stuff to arrive (ordered 2 weeks ago ), than ready to hit QR and Lakeside sprints to claim the fastest K03 turbo polo. bit of tongue in cheek there. I know there's much faster getting around, but hoping to be the first with official times
