  • Wonder how much it would affect the adapative dampers, now that the suspension oscillation frequency would have changed due to different spring rates.

Curious to see how the car would perform pre/post spring upgrades on the track. I've yet to take our Tiguan to the track this year, will definitely go Autumn next year when it's a cooler.

Yes I know. The lowering only highlights the conservative width/offset 20x8 +41. But we all knew that was going to happen.

Works really well with the adaptive dampers. Comfort is great- no longer like a Luxo barge in the corners. Still comfortable but doesn’t wallow.

Normal and Sport are both workable as daily whereas before Sport was just too harsh.

          • Does the wife approve?

            How much to fit?

Think you could drop the height a little more without effecting the ride and shocks?

Wife hasn’t driven it yet.... I suspect she will complain as she usually does - says that I ruin the factory feel.

              3.5 hours labour to fit.

I’m happy with the ride height. I know on previous gen some people fitted H&R with 40mm drop and complained that the ride was too harsh especially over bumps/ruts/potholes.

I had the 40mm H&R drop on my Tig Gen 1 and whilst the handling was awesome, the ride became pretty bad (even for me) Eventually the wife made me go back to stock .....

I think it's part of the job description. Actually mine is pretty good really as she enjoys nice cars so I don't get too many complaints when I buy new ones (just that she doesn't get to drive them all the time).

Thanks Lucas. I'm really happy with it. It doesn't look too "lowered" but it's just enough to not look like it's sitting on stilts anymore.

I think it may still settle a little more than the photos but probably only a few mm.

I bought the springs here: Eibach Pro-Kit E10-85-043-05-22 for VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan Ad1 - TUNERSHOP Tuning Onlineshop

Took around a week for delivery from Germany.

Or alternatively none of the above. This is more around available options. I probably would have gone red/orange/yellow/blue but unfortunately not in the country.

                              • Are we to imagine the colour on the stock calipers? Or are you swapping them out for the above?

Regardless, +1 to copper. Appreciate the rugged touch it provides.
