MK8/8.5 GTI in Australia retains the EA888.3 engine, even in MK8.5 195kw form. No reason to believe the 195 Tiguan has a different engine.

150kw is likely the replacement for the 132/140kw Mk2 version and the 195 is the replacement for the 162. Be interested to know if the 195 is the MK8/8.5GTI engine (EA888.3) or a version of the EA888.4. I suspect the former.

Second sparkplugs or coil pack failures. A scan will tell you which cylinder is misfiring.

More likely to be a wiring issue. Lots of threads out there about wiring being the most common problem.

I'd probably work through those 1st before considering a replacement TB.

I would pull all of the BT kit and the factory radio out and install a new CarPlay capable VW radio like a RCD360. It has BT built in and fully integrates to everything else, even on a 2009 Golf.
Amazing job on the engine rebuild, love it!...

Can't believe we are in mid May already
The 2 R's (collectively the Blues) had a wash this weekend and the Golf got a new IE Stg2 with HPFP tune. Haven't been driving it for about 6 months due to no space to keep it at home (1 daughter moved back in), but got that sorted...
