Things may have changed in the receivers, I remain sceptical but willing to learn.
Yes that's the problem with most measuring devices is the lag. I'm pretty sure VBox and Gtech both have a 20Hz GPS unit in them. You will still see a lead-in issue with G-tech (first 0.1s) but as long as it's repeatable an consistent then it's a good comparison tool.

OBD timers are generally worse depending on the scan rate of the OBD. For me it's about repeatability rather than absolute accuracy, though both would be nice. I think if I'm repeatably within 0.1sec I'd be happy enough.

    • The big problem GPS has is the further towards the north or south pole you go the less satellites the receiver sees and I think from memory you need at least 3 to begin to get believable data and more to get accurate data.

Yeah I usually wait until I have 8-10 satellites locked on before doing any runs.

Even with the best professional equipment I have never see that many satellites and that is a lot further north than you.

The most I've seen is 11. Depends how many obstacles you have and if you can see the horizon in every direction.

And yes, I acknowledge car parts are cheaper than whole cars.

I was looking at these springs on Sparesbox.com.au and noticed they are having a 20% off sale at the moment. They are priced at $449 before the discount and shipping for
those that might want to purchase locally. I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on yellow stuff front pads and DBA T3 rotors. Would the braking be compromised if I just upgraded the fronts and not rears?

I didn't know Sparesbox had the springs for the Gen2 Tig? I'd just be checking the specs on the springs they offer as I think 1 is for the Gen 1 Tig and the other is for the Kodiaq / Allspace.

Jump onto the Eibach site for compatibility (rather than relying on Sparesbox compatibility).

Though having said that they probably would work but you may end up with either more or less drop than advertised...

I'm aware of 1 other Gen 2 Tig running these and they claim they great. Not mine but here's how they sit:

Although Sparesbox compatibility ticked this one as being compatible for GEN 2, I think you are right the part no. relates to GEN 1. Please disregard my earlier post. Note, Sparesbox “guarantees” fitment so not sure why they are pointing to that product.

I never trust online shops compatibility tables - best to check with the manufacturer site.

Having said that they probably will work. A lot of the US guys stick Golf R springs in their Tigs and seems to work OK .
