Take off wheels, give calipers a good clean (can of degreaser supplies in kit), mix up paint (add hardener to colour), apply to calipers with brush(supplied in kit).

It’s pretty simple, but allow 3-4 hours.

Yes yellow paint ordered on the weekend.

I’ve used this paint before (red) and it’s fantastic. It dries really hard and has gloss finish which makes cleaning easy. Brake dust doesn’t stick and 18 months on my Scirocco brakes still look great.

Whats the drying time? Just 1 coat required?

Do you think you would get a more even coat if it could be sprayed?

On a side note, I heared that some of the people from the company that sold the fake Brembo brake covers got arrested...

...update on the paint. The local seller that I had ordered from on the weekend called me and cancelled/refunded the order. They said the paint has been sitting on the shelf for 3 years and has a 12 month shelf life. So they can't supply

I did a couple of coats and I think it was 30 minutes between coats if I remember right.

I don't think it can be sprayed as it's too thick. You can get spray cans from the same company - though usually they have thinners added. Not sure the spray cans are exactly the same product.

When getting the springs fitted the workshop pointed out some small rust spots underneath the strut tops. Getting this booked in to get rust treated and repainted but probably won’t be until the new year.

Much better to catch it early and get it sorted than find it later when the rust has taken hold.
