Yeah man I know the feeling. Just got my new Golf Mark 6 GTD last night. The wait was painful, but worth it. Granted I didn't have to wait 6 or so months to get it like a number of people on the forums.

Hope that the machine is fixed and unlocking your R first thing Monday

On a positive note, now that I know the car is sitting at the dealership I've now listed my GT Sport on car sales and on the forums here for sale. Lets just hope its a quicker sale than the time it took for the new one to get here

I would assume the LED DRL would fix the headlights always on for xenons the MY10 model?

Do you think it would be easily backwards compatible to install for the MY10s?

I can't say about retrofitting the LED DRL to the MY10's. There's an option in the lights setup of the MFD which lets you turn off the DRL. So the MFD programming might be different?

The LED DRLs are really bright - even during daytime can see it far away.

Are the new LED DRL replacing the normal existing DRL seen on the 2010 models or are they specific to the the Bi-xenon package?

They are for the GTI & GTD Bi-Xenon option only, for MY11.5 builds onwards (which any GTI's and GTD's arriving on a boat from now on should be).

Got my R last night! The dealer was kind enough to drop it off to me as I was flat out at work, so a big thanks to Barloworld Glen Waverley! Very happy with their service so far. Anyway on to the R. Two words instantly come to mind....OH YEAH!! Photos do not do this car justice, they look amazing in real life! I only managed to get a short drive unfortunately last night as I had to go out for dinner with work colleagues and got on the sauce lol, but even from that drive it just feels sensational. Comfort, refinement and power, the R has got it all. Can't wait to get the drive home tonight from Melbourne to Geelong. The car was definitely worth the wait, so hang in there for all those waiting!! Pics to come soon!
