Yeh, I got the UG also - looks hot with 19"s
Candy White is what my mother in law would choose, and the blue is too "look at moi"
Also, Rising Blue sounds too much like a porn film title!

A mate has a black with black wheels on order. Can't wait to see his bat-mobile when it arrives!

LOL had to laugh at this. Some valid points to it though I'll admit!

I saw a black with black go through neutral bay just last week, and a black with silver rims in parramatta last night!

Both at night so they looked fantastic.

Blue is probably the flashiest colour.. But it's a golf so I'll live with it!

A very good morning all,

I took delivery of my UG R last night! All went like clock work..
Very happy with it.
Haven't been that anxious driving home in some time.. but all good. (except staying to the speed limit)

My dealer was fantastic, stayed back after hours to accommodate my needs even before his own dinner party plans!
That was service!

Have to agree with all the comments to date about driving in D.. say no more..

My Polo GTI grew in size!!! Had my heart set on a 5dr CW Polo GTI but given delivery blew out to 'early' 2012, I was offered a demo (90kms only) Carbon Steel, 5dr Manual MY10 Golf GTI + Detroit, on road for $42,500. Done deal.

Took delivery of the girl from Trent @ Gerald Slavens here in Canberra last weekend - couldn't be happier. Only 300kms on it now but loving every time I drive it. Saw a red Polo GTI on a main road here in Canberra, nice, but am glad I paid a little bit more for the Golf.

I'm finding it hard to come up with suitable description of how I feel.

Picked up new car at midday.
Sat in it for 20 mins trying to work out all the buttons do.

then i thought Frack it, ill work it out later, drove down the road a bit and started to smile.
i am still smiling!!!!

Wow, so happy with my choice to grab something now.
Do I care that it doesnt have a sunroof?

Boy it sounds so much better than i remembered from test drive.

I am using S a lot, so much more fun than D.
I don't care about the fuel atm,
Service manager said not to Baby it, drive it like I intend to right from the start, so am giving it plenty.
Gees it feels so good off the line, and DSG is very smooth, no sign of any hesitation in D mode yet. Touch wood.

I could go on for hours, I feel like a child again with a new toy.





I will try to post some pics over the weekend, I really like the colour, very understated and refined.
Didnt want to get out of it.

Waiting for wife to get home so I can take family out to dinner.
I think we'll take the R.
