  • looks like the yellow won't be yellow for long:s
universal, if you own a ford or holden haha stupid universal parts never work with the car you want them to

    • Hope the yellow looks better on the car! Haha

I don't think there is a clip on the inside pad, with the calliper around it it can't move anywhere. Where as the outside pad can dislodge.

      • Haha so much hate for the yellow, most of the yellow bits will be hidden behind the rotors anyway. Yeah I figured it would be going anywhere once it's on the disc but just wanted to be sure. Last thing I want is a pad flying out when I'm bedding in the brakes ha

        • no hate, just looks like it will dust up super quick, it seems red seems to last longer before it looks grubby?

          • Rest of my brake setup arrived today

Big thanks to bug_racer (euro revolution) sorted me out all the bits I needed at a great price! Got it all way cheaper than ECS!

.. One question though, I'm not quite sure what those washers are for? Came with 4 of them

                    • Well not really, not at all actually haha.

I got both the rears in, then I went to bleed the rears just to get excess air out and one of the bleed nipple literally snapped off! I tried to get it out with an easy out and snapped that off in there as well. Ended up making quite a mess of it so I decided to give up and I ordered another set off eBay. These ones seem in much better condition anyway. Whole thing will be postponed until new rear calipers arrive. This is what the rears looked before I had to take it all apart again.

Was quite a fustrating weekend lol

Yeah, pretty frustrating but on the plus side I'm a lot more confident now with the brakes and the bleeding process. The eBay picture for the new calipers shows both bleed nipples and brake lines removed so I know I won't have this problem again

Haha thanks mate, yeah I don't think I'll be buying 2nd hand chassis parts from the uk again (or any region that salts their roads). Rust sucks! Also I looks like I'll need your services in the next few weeks to swap gearboxes

Yeah techs would get a fright working over there, but its was a great way to learn, eyes got opened when I moved here to find stuff just comes off. A (proper) wheel alignment on an Audi quattro over there could take you half a day easy, cut my teeth that way.
Anyway yeah mate, ill hear from ya, hope it all bleeds up ok, if not I can pressure bleed it when I see it next
                                All the best
