Hey mate, I feel honered that you read the whe thread haha. Cheers on the kind words, it still has a little way to go but it's nearly where I want it to be. The turbo is rated for 400hp at the crank so if I can get close to that I'll be stoked. Still on the base tune as drivetrain issues are holding me back at the moment still mighty fun on the base tune dunno if I'll be at power cruise but if you're around Brissy you're more than welcome to come for a spin. As for doing this in 5 days.... I guess you could if you had all parts, tools, the expertise and nothing went wrong but something always goes wrong lol

And just because I'm a whore her it is chillin out side my mates house on the weekend

Do you have a rough idea of the figures its going to pull?

im about to venture into the wilderness, Gavin sure sounds like he knows what he's doing, shame im in SA and not QLD!! However, i am heading upto brissy for the 2014 Power cruise, hint hint ;p

Gavin, reckon you could do a build like this in say, 5 days? baha!

So car's been off the road for a few weeks because of a broken axle. Bought an aftermarket one from the states and it was worse than the stock broken one!!! So Jmac sorted me out a rebuilt oem one and car is up and driving again
Also got some presents in the mail yesterday. Anni rear valance and hatch wing

So installed the kw's on Sunday with the help of Shane (he did most of the work) and all was sweet, had the stance I wanted and no sway bar issues until tonight when dropping my old suspension off I notice a slight noise coming from the front end that got progressively worse. I thought it may be the springs settling and causing the drive shaft but then the steering wheel starting shaking. So I pulled over and I have massive positive camber on front passenger wheel, not good. Starting freaking out that we had forgotten to tighten something or the shock had bent, then I notice 3 of my 5 wheel bolts were missing! triple check wheel bolts people! then I realise I have the wrong size ratchet for the special wheel bolt key so I couldn't do anything. Luckily JustCruisn who had just bought my suspension came to my rescue with tools. i feel like such an idiot, at least I can blame the hangover for the wheel bolts...

    Smoking kills btw

So had a rather un-eventful weekend. Did get around to putting some heat shielding over the turbo and air box though.

Sticker is covering dodgey paint job lol

Have you looked at spacing the back of the bonnet up using washers/nuts like they do in the JDM scene to pull the hot air out the back of the engine bay?

How did it go out there other than the heat issue?
Yeah thought about the spacers and no rubber strip but with these I can put them pretty much over the turbo to let the heat out, plus I think they look pretty tough. Lakeside was really fun, I was taking it very easy but car felt very composed, the rsb really killed the under steer it used to have turning into corners, still scrubs wide under power though, need a diff lol
