Alright so it's been a while since I've posted any updates. As some of you may know the car has been off the road for the past month or so , I messed up the brake install.. Well not so much the install as the bleading process. I had a hell of a time trying to blead the system and get a decent pedal feel. I ended up rounding the brand new blead screws I got for the front calipers, buying brand new oem rear calipers (don't ask) and finally stripping one of the blead screw threads in the master cylinder. I gave up and decided to take it to Jmac to finish the brakes, only thing is I had to source new blead screw for the front calipers, easier said than done. If anyone needs to know the blead screws for the r32 front calipers are m7x1.0. Shipping from uk took forever but they finally arrived!!

    Looks like they'll fit

I also got some great news about my gearbox! After delays because of parts supply, it's almost back together! Neat gearboxes down in Adelaide look like they do some awesome work!

Oh and I bought some high quality studs, locking nuts, Nissan turbo gaskets and Nissan t25 locking tabs. Will put all this in the next time my turbo bolts come loose.

So yeah I haven't forgotten about her, haha

gearboxes are a real feat of engineering aren't they, so complicated to look at this bunch of gears yet they work so harmoniously.. until Lito drops the clutch

Thanks buddy but atm it's undrivable stripped the bleed thread on the master cylinder so I've given up and waiting for jimmy to get back and replace the mc and bleed the brAkes properly. Gearbox is also coming along, apparently there was some delays with parts but got sent these images and I'm really getting exited!!

I wonder if you should recode the ABS module to account for the R32 front calipers..they have a different softcode for the larger brakes.

aaa true, you don't need to cycle ABS or anything silly like that?

Well I upgraded the rears as well. It's the full r32 setup so brake bias should remain oem. Round 1 of bleeding and pedal still goes to floor when the car is on. Round 2 it is then haha

wow! the brake bias isn't effected too much with that greater difference front to rear? I guess all the weight and drive is in the front of the golfs so isn't so bad?

    They're off the r32 334x32mm

The fronts full the wheel nicely, the rears still look tiny haha
