Haha yeah I've seen the inside of a 1.8t more than I'd care to remember. Diff is a wavetrac, should be interesting to see how it feels, apparently they are really fun in the wet. I'm actually more exited about getting the engine mounts in. Stock mounts don't like big turbos

Really not sure mate, but for your first conquest when she's all up and running the way you want should be Jason's cracking time of 13.6 in his old Polo. You have a few hundred kg's more to navigate so should be interesting!

Well I was actually about ready to drive the thing into a ditch a couple of weeks ago but Gavin came to the rescue with some inspirational words. Something along the lines of "it wasn't broken before, so whatever is wrong with it can be fixed". Really gave me a fresh perspective, and more drive to get this car sorted, really want to hit the 1/4 mile when it's ready. What's the fasted ET a 1.8t has done in Australia?

Lol'd so hard! Seriously though I think this is one of the last pieces of the puzzle after this brakes then it should be sorted.... Should be I really need to get this clunking sorted though, every time I turn right with some intent the left wheel goes wobbly and makes a bad noise and this is with a freshly rebuilt oem drive shaft. So I'm guessing its the wheel bearing or dif. At least I've taken care of the more expensive option haha

Haha sneaky mods are the best, if she says something about getting new wheels just say "nah, i just had them painted" or something like that. Always worked on my gfs... Although I have been through about 3 girlfriends since having this car... I think I just had a light bulb moment haha

Thats works under the bonnet fine, I work on my car at the parents in the garage or at a mates so just come back and my car is faster/louder and shes doesnt really notic
but wheels she notice for sure... and will probably cost me a set for her car too!
