Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not sure yet (I need to change that to PLX damn typo ) Waiting for it to turn up.

Finished the stage 1 weight reduction as well, seats are out so that will do for the moment.

                • Car is certainly getting to a reasonable pace, had a run against a VE Wagon, sounded Auto and I am guessing it was the base model 175kw version or whatever it is but was still able to pull on it upto about 100. Still can't find the annoying rear rattle I have going on. Also need to mount up the fire extinguisher.

                      • vwthunder, your polo is nice and clean however its a spitting image of what flaps's polo used to look like lol .. like 1:1 almost! (minus front lip and tail lights)..

just an update on missvuks' car ..

                        -

On another note, it is incredibly interesting what Polo owners do to the 1.8t engine as having played with the mk4 gti so much can see how many wrong roads people get down and probably loosing power or spending $ and getting minimal if no results. Injectors being changed, fuel rails etc.. quite an interesting read

Hmm I only remember flaps car a bit, I thought the only thing in common with his were that they were the same colour, he had R32 brakes, different wheels, im sure his looked totally different under the hood, and I think he had cloth trim

Hmm I had a pod on before so kind of sounds the same, only really notice a difference on cold nights, seem to have more torque.

Was it worth the trouble, well yes to be different, seeing as my car was just compared to someone elses is a few posts back, and it was kind of fun too lol
