Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Got the timing belt changed today. Thanks to Gav for helping with parts.

Guys at Phoenix Engineering (near the Gabba) did a great job.

Greg, Ya haven't felt a solid pedal until you have a brake master cylinder stopper.
The firewall flexes by about 5mm. under hard braking.

Do you know if there are any master cylinder braces for our cars? They were common on subaru's, I had bought one but never fitted it, but never heard anything for the polo.

For today, 3x polo's with near brake fluid and 2x oil changes. Successful, hassle free day

Sean, I'm fairly sure that ya won't find one to fit the 9N3.

            • I wanted the look of the newer badges that are just the one piece so I colour coded the rear section of the badge.. Might do the skirts and lower bumper sections too?

                    • Put car back to stock tune today before dropping it off at the exhaust shop. Holy smokes it feels flat on 10psi....

Getting a 3" dump installed. Am curious to see if the bum-o-meter will notice any difference.

On apr V2. I usually return it to stock when leaving me it at a shop.

I'm also hoping that my Perth custom dump pipe experience is better than yours was.
