So I finally got my injector issue sorted, thought I should do a bit of write up
PART 1
Early November last year I got a set of non-calibrated PD130/150 injectors off eBay and can't find anyone locally can do the calibration so
So I thought I'll give it a go(yeah with 120,000s-of-psi of injecting pressure just put them in uncalibrated)
While the workshop is working on it, they found the hardened casing on some of the cam lobes are worn through and so as some tappets
I searched on the net and looks like it's quite a common fault on the PD engines
So I had to order in the new cam and seal to put in
Then they changed the rocker cover and gasket to fix the oil seeping issue
Got the car back with all the work done after over a week
Load the tune and now it drive like it's in limp mode
No wheel spins whatsoever no matter how I try
Went through all the diagnosis with data logging and found out the injectors are way out of balance
So my advice? Don't put uncalibrated injectors into you PD engines!!!
With all the coins spent and got results like this, I got slack
PART 2
Driving a limp-mode like car is not so funny, the power was so flat
There was an opportunity that I can access a DynoDynamic machine, so I did some power runs
The peak power on the highest power run was 87 HP(what?)
So I'm basically running below stock level??
Got pissed and order a set of fully reconditioned and calibrated PD130/150 injectors from the Darksides, also chuck a set of PD150 head bolts in the cart while I place the order[emoji14]
Now the car is in for the injectors for a second time
Everything went well until they put the rocker cover back with new gasket
They found it's leak badly at one corner, oil just pouring out from there
Then they checked the cover on a flat and it's wobbly, got a 4mm lift at the leaking corner
So rocker cover #3 is in, and I got the car back yesterday
All I could say is nothing, because I was busy at laughing
Almost break my neck at my first take off, spins the KU19s all through the 3rd
Now I need some stickier rubber
