Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The unfortuate thing is that the nicer wheels highlights the wheel-arch gap. You know whats next...
He would let me drive the C63 occasionally if i wasn't on my P's, so sadly that is currently a no go zone.

Though having been a passenger in it quite a lot in the month or so he's had it, wow it is an amazing beast, nothing beats the sound they make.

I find it a bit ridiculous, i could drive the Clubby he had before this on my L's, but as soon as i am on my P's, i can't (not legally at least).

I need to save up first before i think about lowering (though i agree, it'd improve it).

I would say yes. With std bulbs I would always run the fog lights too, no need with the powervisions. The light is definitely whiter. Not sure of a 60% increase in light, but certainly more light and a longer beam.

You have no idea how ridiculously jealous I am of you right now. That's an ED30 wheel, yeah?

Please find me one and send it to me

I agree 100%. It was definately worth the $49 IMO. Small price to pay for what is a definte improvement over stock.

To run on normal roads with other traffic? I think you would end up blinding everyone else like HID without projectors. You get better results with the lights higher facing down, like the off roaders putting them above the cabbin.

                            • I tried every spanner and socket I had and nothing would give me enough movement

I'll make myself a 3/8" socket adapter by grinding flats on the shaft of a M10 bolt with 16mm or 17mm head but by the time I found the problem today, I CBF'd
