Well after 7 years, 1 of the H7 headlight bulbs gave in ..... so today I replaced both with Phillips Powervisions, 60% more visible light and nice and white in comparison.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

That said the Polo headlights are very poor in all our range, poor on low beam, better on high.
Are the 'Powervisions in H7, $49 at the moment (catalogue special) at Autobarn' worth it ??
Then there are the Off Road HID kits from $99.00???? Anyone tried these HIDs in the Polo?
I am also thinking of a LED strip combo pencil/wide lights, anyone researched LED driving lights to suit? '
Cheers AlLast edited by Polo GTEye N9; 26-04-2013, 07:22 PM.

Does anyone know of any GTIs currently wrecking around Sydney?
My indicator stalk has broken - the switch won't return after turning the wheel back (after taking a corner), and the whole thing is driving me mental.
Also if anyone's got access to ELSA to tell me the exact part number, that would be great. I am pretty sure it's 6Q0 953 503 CQ, but not certain. It may be BM going off auto-parts.spb.ru but I don't know how reliable that is.
Basically just looking for the cheapest way to get that damn indicator stalk assembly replaced.
