Ordered my gti this afternoon. 5 door in black, audio upgrade, bluetooth, sunroof, comfort pack and window tint!
Looking at feb delivery and have been assured that it will be a 2012 make. Thought about the leather but i figured the sun from the sunroof on the leather wont be that good and i hate it when it starts to lift and crack - and seeing its only leathertte i figured it wont last as long as i would have liked, not for the $1900 price tag.

Cant wait... thinking i might install a RNS510.... unsure yet, will see how happy i am with the RCD510.

I'm hoping that this is a legitimate cancelled order benni because otherwise, get it in writing from your dealership because there is a whole lot of wool sitting above your head right now and we all get the feeling it's about to be violently ripped down over your eyes!

I Finally Picked up My car Today and like everyone else here, Definitely worth the wait! She drove Amazing! All this time I was worried I ordered the DSG and thought I would really miss the Manual, but jumped in and took off like I have been driving her for ages! As much as I adore my current car and will miss her dearly, I am sure I will love this one as its the first time I have bought a car brand new! The Seats and Sunroof was definitely worth the extra money!

You would think that buying a polo gti would be an exciting moment. Even the waiting should be an exciting expectation.

That's why I recently cancelled my order.

My local dealer treated me so contemptuously, lied to me, blamed me for their ordering mistakes, told me in effect to either "take it (without the ordered option) or leave it",...... that I didn't think that I would be able to put the whole disturbing experience behind me whenever I drove the car. It wasn't a particually good deal for me (great for them!) anyway. So now I'm going to re-order the car, with the options I want, get the "comfort pack" and bluetooth free (ie included on all UpdateMY12 gti models built after Dec) and NOT deal with my local scum dealership. As soon as I find an honest car dealer in Qld.

No I'm not going to say the name of the scum dealership so you can pick up my cancelled order. Believe me, you really don't want to deal with them.

I had a fairly decent experience with the fellas out at Booval. They are only 45 minutes from the CBD with good traffic.

Bingo! You got 'em. You must have a different salesman. Not only was mine a bare faced lier, but his idea of helpfull was "we have a signed contract..." and the take it or leave it attitude. No NADCON info given. High salesman turnover too...I dad to deal with 3 over 9 months and the best excuse he could come up with was to bag the previous sacked salesman.

I've got one too!

My first post on this forum, been a big lurker for a while now and thought I should share a picture of mine..
Its a flash red 1,4 petrol with sunroof, 16" mistral, tinted all the way 35% (not on picture though)
Only mods left is lowering springs, what you guys think?

Looks good, like those wheels gives the look of a top of the range model. Also like the photo itself with the darken effect on the edges. Just learnt there getting rid of the 1.4 model in OZ at least, when the Up! arrives next year.

Yep! they are getting rid of the 1,4 and making room for a 1,2 with around 90hp I just heard from my dealer..

Got mine gti today

Picked up the gti this morning and after waiting 11 odd months ,my feelings were desensitized but hopefully i will feel more upbeat given time.I drove to the city looking for the tinting shop at angas st but it was closed .Coming back to the car anyway, i felt the cars accelerated power is great but its not as placed and smooth driving compared to my old mark 5 golf gti .Might be the roads in th city but best to try out on the freeway later on .Or perhaps its my imaginations after too long a wait.cheers tay.
