I pickle mine up on Jan 3! Full report then! Silver 5dr.... also i didn't have to order it! One order came in last week, lady couldn't buy it so it went for sale and i snapped it up! Jan 3rd pick up for tax/business reasons but it's sitting in a shed waiting... and waiting! 12/11 days left now!! yippee!

Awesome, great to see another GTI in SA. Only seen one other so far on the road a couple weeks back so wouldn't have been you then yet.

Picked up the gti this morning and after waiting 11 odd months ,my feelings were desensitized but hopefully i will feel more upbeat given time.I drove to the city looking for the tinting shop at angas st but it was closed .Coming back to the car anyway, i felt the cars accelerated power is great but its not as placed and smooth driving compared to my old mark 5 golf gti .Might be the roads in th city but best to try out on the freeway later on .Or perhaps its my imaginations after too long a wait.cheers tay.

Yes. the car came in to adelaide last week and solitaire (hawthorn)monday.I am finding excuses to head towards bunnings in mile end yet keeping my fingers cross i wont have to pay as many visit to their service centre as i had with my golf(south africa made)
BY the way is yours a 3 door or 5door? cheers tay

Thats nice with xenons as mines standard.currently,i am figuring out too and just reading on the guys on switching off the day lights.smile.

Hope everyone's having a happy xmas/new year period, I'm happy as I received some VW Rubber Mats for my Polo, great little mats and chrissy present, not cheap for the purchasers though. Have recentely ordered a boot mat of ebay thats designed to fit the Polo, so looking foward to that arriving. Might be looking at one of those Sunstrip banners too, has anyone on here have one, or think they can look good? There's a VW R themed version on ebay and thought with the Polo now a rally car it might suit.

Picked up my GTI yesterday! So shiny and smells like new car smell which is driving me nuts! It's a nice good drive and will do more over the weekend! Exciting!

Enjoy it! Great little car.

Unbelievably good on fuel too. I once got 820km from a single tank of 98RON, highway driving, A/C off and cruise control set on 100km/hr. Amazing for a car that only takes around 40L of fuel.
