Still bit shame to post pics without a proper rear bar. And hard to get the pics under the car. I will post some pics and video soon.. hehe !
Cool I'm keen to hear the new exhaust. Hope you got some before and after sound clips. Though I know from personal experience it's hard to determine how loud an exhaust note is from a video.
If you do get it up on a hoist if you can remember to take a couple of shots that would be great... Not that I'm looking to do anything with mine but would just be an interesting comparison to see what route you've taken.
Perhaps even start a specific Tiguan exhaust thread

I know you probably didn't like taking a hacksaw to your rear valance however it doesn't look that bad. Though an ABT rear bumper with dual exits will finish it off nicely.
Some nice meaty pops on over-run. Will be interested to hear what it sounds like when moving - both WOT and 1/4 throttle.
From the photos it looks like you've got a resonator as well as a rear muffler. I'm not sure what you had before but my experience with non-res was a bit of a disaster and that was with a 2.5" system and not 3" like yours.
I'm still happy with my exhaust. It is slightly more noisy than I'd like at some RPM with lightish throttle but you have to live with that if you want to get a decent sound on WOT.
Thanks Guys!! I am really happy with the sound of the exhaust even though it is not very loud. My goal was to build an exhaust with minimal drone but free flowing and I think I have come close to achieving that goal. Drone or any exhaust sound on freeway cruising around 2000 RMP, is non existent and I can enjoy my sound system without any interruptions and when I get on with it, it makes some meatier pops and growls and let me know it is there.
This is what I had before for a short while which I got from Stiffy86,
It had all the right sounds, pops, crackles, bangs you name it and was also very loud. Some work mates loved it however after my manager said he could hear me 10 cars behind while I was moving in traffic I decided to pull it off..haha!

Are you able to post up any pics of it fitted up? Did you get this shipped from the US?
Guessing this is the one:
Be interested in your feedback on any drone and plusses/minuses of the system as it seems like this may be the only one that is commercially available off the shelf for the Tig.
It's not bad, but I am going to get it tweaked a little as it does drone at 110/120. You can't even hear it at 100 so I'm guessing they've worked on the basis that most people sit on 100. The 7th gear overtake can get pretty droney when your gradually acellerating between 110-130ish.
If you drive normally it's pretty reasonable and not too harsh, if you get on the gas then it can be noisy but not too obtrusive (just about right).
I've got a dashcam so I'll pull some files soon so you can hear what it's like at 100/110 etc.
I did have some pics from the install but can't seem to find them at the moment. If I locate them I'll let you know.
Have you guys seen that 42DD (42 Draft Designs) have just announced a Tiguan TSI specific downpipe? I follow 42DD on Facebook and they posted about it a few days ago.
Mind you, my personal experience with a 42DD down pipe (Golf R) was a poorly fitting unit that rubbed on heat shields, pressed up hard on my gear shifter cables and also hung too low to the ground. I removed it and sold it after a few months.
On the positive though, it did sound good (resonated version) and had some nice touches like the machined bracket which bolts to the subframe.

Nice! finally some solid piece of hardware for Tigs from a reputed aftermarket supplier. And the price is not bad too. Now we can see few more people going for Stage 2 tunes
