    • Nice work with the wheels - that is a serious bit of kit! How is the ride? I also want to know if you are considering getting some H&R springs in and whether they will fit after lowering?

      • I think coilover dumpage is required with these wheels

When i first saw the 30 and 25 series profile tyres i was thinking the ride will be terrible, but to my surprise the car ride is better and handles a lot better...i say more feedback.
As long as the missus don't complain...i'm happy with that.
Will look into some sort of lowering in future....maybe a set of coilovers. My recent purchase of these wheels and tyres is killing the budget

              • From all reports the H&R coilovers are excellent, total lowering of about 2.5" all round, just right IMO. Yes I want some

                • These were for sale at volkspower, burwood VIC when i was down there yesterday... Maybe a tad exe for used, but they may consider offers? Glossy black, would look pretty nice on, IMO...

Crappy photo, i know, with there background glare, but you get the idea!

                  • 3k is a right royal rip off.
You can get some classy wheels that weigh less for much less $$$.
Also have to factor in the cost of tyres since the Tig runs a larger profile.

My new wheels arrive on Wednesday!

Yep they better be made in Italy!

But I reckon you can buy reps of these (direct from China) for about one-third of the cost!

                      Been there and done that!

                      • Golf offset wouldn't be too great for a Tig either from memory.

                          Agreed.
You would want somewhere between a 35 and a 45 for wheels in the 8-9" wide range.

                            • Picking up my Tig in 2 weeks and wondering if anyone has bought 18" wheels from a dealer, and if so what did you pay? My 125 is coming with 16" and the dealer said getting 18" would be expensive and I'd be better off buying from the US?

I got my 19" wheels from the US for $1700
Add $1k for rubber to that and i am happy.

18" will no doubt be less pricey than that and it really depends on what type of wheels you are after.
VMR/Rotiform etc will be around the 1k figure for 18's from memory.
