  • I'm sure someone has mentioned they've been running 255 width tyres but couldnt remember who. Could you please post up the rim widths and offsets you're running and any issues?

    Cheers

              • That's looks pretty damn sweet! Kudos for pulling of the 10.5" rears I didn't think you'd clear it Might need to get your speedo recalibrated though.

                • I think the Tiguan can take an 11" rear rim if you get the right offset. I still got about 1cm each side before it even touches the strut cover.
That's why i got 315 tyres on order from US
I'm pretty sure that my wheels are illegal.
Side steps will be on order from VW soon. I think the steps will add to the "fatness" of the car!

I was thinking this as i run 245/45 and it is right on the limit.
the 4% tint is pretty crazy too, must be hell hard to drive at night.

                    • My wheels are 22 x 9.5 fronts with 265/45 and im able to turn full lock with no rubbing. I think its just good offset.
Tinting is my profession...if the wife don't complain its all good

                      • Should have clarified that it is right on teh limit of being legal sizing.
There is still another 5cm or so clearance to the front/rear of the wheel arch.

                          • On those big rims, how do these new tyres compare with the old on rolling diameter? I ask as I am thinking of larger diam tyres for off road use in due course, wondering whether these are much bigger roll diameter than normal, or maybe not with the low profile tyres?

                            Looks wild

The rolling diameter would be quite a bit larger than standard i am guessing with those widths and sidewall percentages.

Rolling diameter is completly different to the stock wheels, i wouldn't recommend using 25 series profile to go off roading!
