May I know if anyone know how to change two line in the manual of 8" mib 2 as shown? Appreciated if you can share the codes!

I tried the coding you posted, but it only changed the skins not "Two line(rows)"

It didn’t work for me either. Think it requires a later firmware than what is on my head unit.

after tweaks press and hold HU power button till reset.

All, can the OBD11/VCDS be used to reprgramme the service date? See below for reason for asking.

If so is there anyone in the Elsternwick/Caulfield area that could assist?

My MY17 Tiguan is telling me that it's due for its 1st oil service and inspection. May 5th being the date programmed into the ECU etc. However I didn't buy it and take delivery until Nov 29 last year (hence the good deal I got). I took it to a dealer (not the selling dealer) for the first service but they didn't service it due to the fact it's only done ~4950km. They said it's due on Nov 29 or at 15000km - fair enough.

They also said they couldn't reset the service warning as that would add 365 days and 15000kms to the current settings meaning that it's be out of kilter with respect to it's programmed dates.

Last weekend I helped another forum member add a few extra options to their gen2 Tig:

• Needle sweep
• Enable Mirror / Puddle Lights When Mirrors Are Closed
• Anti-Theft Horn
• Auto Close Windows When Raining
• Tap to Indicate – Number of Blinks

For those looking to get the Anti-theft alarm working (horn sounds when door is opened when “armed”), here's the settings:

Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
Security Access code 31347
THEN 10-ADAPTATİON

To make things easier search for "Anti-theft" and set the following:

• Anti-theft device-Anti-theft Alarm System = Active
• Anti-theft device-DWA Alarmverzoegerung = driver door contact thatcham
• Anti-theft device-DWA Camper Modus = ACTIVE
• Anti-theft device-DWA_Einfachhorn_oder_Sounder = Horn_verbaut
• Anti-theft device-Ueberwachung Innenentriegelungshebel = ACTIVE
• Anti-theft device-Akustischer Alarm Signalhorn = ACTIVE

Next search for "acknow"

• Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung global = ACTIVE
• Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung signalhorn = ACTIVE

Any option for extending the time between when the car requires to you hold the wheel when using active lane guidance? It’s set at 14 seconds.

The warning comes up at around 12 seconds, the beep at around 14 seconds. However I always push it to the next and final warning BEEP which gives you an "additional" 20-23 seconds (total 30-33 seconds). BUT BEWARE, after the last long Beep you only have 2-3 seconds to take action AND move on the steering wheel otherwise the auto brake will activate and that gives you and all passengers a frightening experience they wont forget.

VCDS and this one I don’t think is working yet. There’s either a setting we’re missing or in car setup is not right.

Ardil may be able to shed some more light on what we’ve tried.

I have tried resetting the required factory settings as described in the threads however its a no goer for me on this one. Maybe someone will come up with a fix for it for those of us who havent been able to get it working.

Is your sensor in the windscreen 2 or 4? As 2 it won’t work on, only 4
