Have you tried setting the BCM adaptation channel ENG10579-ENG115754-ZV allgemein-Funk bei Klemme 15 ein to active ?

Cheers guys, got it to work! I was in the wrong module, was thinking I had to do the modifications in the Kessy module.

        • Does anyone know if it's possible to enable DAB? I'm guessing there will be hardware missing, but considering other countries have DAB with the same head-unit, it might be possible?

I know in the 5F module, I saw two options for DAB in Long Coding, but neither enabled anything that I could see.

It's a different mib unit in the glovebox.
Has a different part number that includes the dab tuner and aerial connector.

            • ^^^ What he said!!
              It's missing the DAB aerial connector in the picture (and the circuitry inside the housing that connects to this plug);

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.

OZROD: Japan clearly doesn't have our free-to-air-TV!! If it did, Japanese drivers wouldn't need TV access in their cars because there would be nothing worth watching (especially inside a moving car)

Likewise the radio stations - scheduled broadcast TV and Radio is so 2017.
Streaming on demand is the way. I would rather have a 4g sim slot in the glovebox and a head unit that will access the internet. Thank Steve for CarPlay.

                      • Have tried a few of the tweaks here, thanks to all for researching and sharing. Used VCDS to change everything. My thoughts/results:

                        Traffic Reports/TMC
                        - Couldn't get it to work. Might have done something wrong in my setup, had a few goes but no results. Used 1024 and another setting I found on OzAudi, both no go so far. Mine is a late 17 build with the newer head unit, so maybe something is different.

                        Traffic Sign Recognition
                        - Works well, quite handy. Going to keep it on. A little fiddly to setup though. Don't know why it's not enabled on the Oz delivered cars.

                        Disable start/stop
                        - Works! Great

                        Haldex AWD setting
                        - Changed to the increased traction setting. Massive difference! Feels like a different car. Now drives something like I want it to, can notice the extra drive from the rear. It reminds me of the Q5 I drove in terms of feel on the road. Will leave it for a while and see what happens, if no noticeable downsides I'm tempted to leave this setting on permanently.

You don't have the error from TSR?

Only when it can't find a sign in the first few minutes after starting up, goes away after a few seconds. As soon as it sees a speed sign it's all good. Even picked up the random 10km/h sign in the supermarket car park tonight.

Edit: I set it to 'detection' rather than 'fusion'

                              • Anybody available for some coding around Norwest/Kellyville. Looking to get the TMC and sign reading (anything worthwhile too). Case of beer on the cards. Thanks
