I ordered the TDI originally in early October, but changed it a few weeks later to the TSI.

Filled up just before the first red line, done 510kms with 110 on range. Though been mostly short trips around town to the shops due to being a busy holiday period. First drive to work today 8.9km per 100 on the way in 9.1 on the way home due to a bloody hot day.

After owning four VW's since 2005, each of them having really crappy halogen headlights I'm hoping the extra moolah I've coughed up for the Highline gives me lights that are decent. Previously, I was a Holden fan and they had terrific headlights that you could actually drive at night with. VW must have learned their stuff with the original Dr Darkness in the UK.
Please, those who have their Highlines now tell me that the lights are good.

Just been on the back roads in the Yarra Valley in my 162 R Line and I can say that the LED headlights on the Tiguan are excellent. Low beam has a very wide spread with a clearly defined upper cut -off of the beam. High beam is very penetrating and lights up the road a long way ahead - reflections from road signs on high beam can be a bit dazzling. The lights inspire confidence on unlit country roads and I found that I could press on with confidence. These lights are are step up from the bixenons I had on the mark 7 Golf GTI.
LED headlights should be standard across the Tiguan range - they are becoming common on sub $30k cars now.

Its way too late in the night for me to be this excited.. Tiguan docked in Port Kembla on the weekend.. this week potentially.. Cant wait to test all this stuff out!!!

Hi i am new to this forum its a great source of info for the new Tiguan. Also congrats to all the people who received their cars recently. Like most i am looking at the white rline 162tsi, DAP, Sunroof package.
I have a couple of questions which the dealers couldn't answer.
1) is the sunroof cloth black to match the dark interior of the rline?
2) can you use apple car play maps on main unit whilst using car gps in dash?
3) i have gone through about 40 pages of the thread and have seen prices vary from (55k drive away to 60k drive away) is 55k really possible? I have managed to get a dealer down to 58k but that is about it wont go any lower.

Hi there! I paid $56k TSI162 RLINE +DAP, no fleet discount. So 58k sounds pretty good, you might try to push to 57k now that there's a wait to May or June.
