Haven't posted up here for a while so thought I'd give an update with some current shots:
Had some new files loaded on Thursday. A bit of a sad story for those that don't know. My old car suffered the fate of the failed timing chain tensioner and is sitting in the workshop waiting for a new engine
After the new files I took car out with full weight and 3/4 tank of fuel. It hasn't cracked the 3's, however I've decided that a soft launch is probably a good thing and better to have a (slightly) slower time than a broken drivetrain.

Your old Tig did have a number of good years though....
That’s a big improvement with the new files for the 0-100km/h, is that with LC?. What level of boost are you running? With some weight reduction and a good launch, you’ll be in the 3s.
I have yet to vbox for v2 beta file, although I hear APR have got a final v2.x along the way. I’ll do some testing when the weather improves.
VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Mods: OEM IS38 turbo, APR IS38 98 RON ECU tune, TVS Stage 2 + with custom TCU tune, APR Downpipe and resonator delete, APR turbo inlet, VWR turbo muffler delete, APR pendulum mount, APR dog bone insert, APR Open Pod Filter (MQB), RAMAIR intake tube, APR Red Ignition Coils, NGK R7437-9 Spark Plugs, DBA T3 slotted rotors front and T2 slotted rotors rear, ATE ceramic pads front and rear Vbox: 0-100 4.1s

I think the real advantage of the hydrid IS38 vs IS38 in the Tig is going to be past 100 and and rolling acceleration.

Yes old Tig is looking a little worse for wear. Hopefully it gets fixed up and back on the road soon.
Running 24.5psi boost at the moment. This could possibly get tweaked a bit but I'd be driving over to Melbourne for that.
I think even with the softer launch the stock tyres are not up to the chop (or need to let the pressures down a bit). So with some better rubber and some weight reduction (full size spare and my box of work gear for starters) I think high 3's are possible.
From sounds of things your DSG file sounds a bit more aggressive on launch but I'm kind of erring on the side of mechanical sympathy at this point.

Your 4.1 to 100 is impressive
I think you’re on the money, the hybrid fatter torque kicks in a little later with the larger wheel, when you’re in the higher rev/ rolling it would be a monster, but it might take a little longer to spool down low.
Without the TVS ECU tune the best I was getting was between 4.2 and 4.3 seconds. The TVS tune has really enhanced the drivability and given it quite an aggressive boosted launch from standing start.

Your boost is on par with beedub, I think he’s running 1.7 bar.
I recall your tyres were a little skinnier than the r line ones....but your new wheels are lighter. What rpm are you launching? I dialled my down from 4500 because it sounded like something was going to break......drivetrain did not like the additional torque.

Yes tyres on the Sportline are Pirelli Scorpion Verde 235/45R20. They're OK but I know that they're at the limit of their grip.
Launch is 4,000rpm and even with the lower boost level in 1st gear you can still feel the tyres struggle a bit with traction off the line.
In what way?
Was it making strange noises, NVH, or just concerned something would break?
Additional metallic sounds, more body shudder and very rough gear shifts....4000 rpm was the sweet spot. I don’t think the Tig was designed for 4500 + rpm launches... the transfer box was really taking a beating.
