What did you end up getting? Looks like GFB?
Did you get your engine cover cut to allow the extra hoses?
I ended up leaving my cover off when I got the Racingline one installed.

Leyo. Engine cover fits ok but there is some evidence of rubbing on the hoses:

Obviously only possible to clean the filter when you change the oil. Just make sure whoever does the Haldex service also checks the filter on the pump.

            • New exhaust getting fitted up. Interesting that the resonator on the Mk7.5 R exhaust had to go as there wasn’t space for it in the tunnel.

                  • Some more pics. Install was done at Vulcan Performance in Edwardstown:

Moved the valve controllers to the other end of the exhaust (closet to the tips):

Res deleted as the Golf R resonator just wouldn’t fit:

                    • Quad tips on a Tiguan looks awesome. Got to keep telling myself that I don't need it.

Curious to know how it sounds with the resonator deleted. I think my missus would be less than impressed if I did this, but damn it looks good.

Funnily enough it sounds like a Stage2 Golf R with a res delete

It’s a bit deeper note because of the 3” DP.

I haven’t driven it with the back seats up and boot cover in place yet (brought the old exhaust home from the shop in the back). However wife went out this afternoon and said she didn’t notice anything- so passed the wife test at least and that’s with the valves open.

Still to get to wiring up the valve controllers to see if I can get them to operate.

                        • Just in case you're wondering what it all sounds like here's a cold start clip with a couple of revs at the end:

                          • Damn it tigger... now I really need to get this done to finish my Wolfie off.
The stock muffler is driving me nuts on cold starts since all the stage 3 mods.

Thanks for the vid and pics, very helpful.

                            PS are all valves open?

                            • Yes my valves are open and it still isn’t that loud. I could live with it that way for sure, however I think my wife would like the valve controller in there and working so cold starts are quieter and now she is aware of it that she doesn’t get looks driving down the street.

If you have the radio going you really can’t hear it but if you switch it off then it’s noticeable but not intrusive.

In terms of bang for buck I’d rate this as good return for $ spent. All up cost me $350 including the exhaust and fitting.
