I just need to get the valve actuators working so that I can close the valves to keep my wife happy when she drives it. Then I'll call it job done.

Did you get any alerts? I wonder if mine is in the same state - hence the random violent Haldex kick (which you've seen in the video of the 12.9s pass at the drag strip)

I've had this happen a couple of times but was told it was the transmission sorting itself out. Hasn't happened since.... but I also haven't launched it much either.

Wow- 12.9 is pretty awesome for stage 1. Is that an APR tune? Did you end up changing you intercooler?

It's by APR, I'm still using the factory IC. It really heat soaks, on the streets a few hard pulls and you can notice the timing being pulled back due to high IATs. Seems like there's no strategy for lowering boost vs. IATs. I "might" convince the wife her car needs a better IC lololol.

I have the wheels stored in the shed. I have a guaranteed buyback on the car and need to keep all the stock parts if I decide at the end of the finance term to hand the keys back. I was looking to sell them but people just wanted to pay lowball prices and in the end it was worth more to me to still have the option to use the buy-back.

Though in reality I'll probably just sell the car privately anyway once I've finished with it in a couple more years. With this virus thing and a change in the customers/regions I look after in my job I'm not putting as many km on my cars as I was (say) 12 months ago.

Finally found myself a new steering wheel with the right buttons.

Just waiting on the steering wheel to to arrive. Should be just a straight swap over...

                        • Fair enough. I still have the Suzukas fitted that came with my 2017 162TSI but always preferred the look of those.

                              • Stock wheel is “standard” shape but did come with paddle shifters so this was a direct swap.
