It seems you are not following me, I am giving a possible reason for the hole , to give cold air to the engine bay, nothing to do with intake, which will draw cold air from that same spot, but obviously warmer air from the big gaping hole which I presume is there to let cold air into bay.
I have another observation/complaint. Does anyone have the headrest slowly creep it's way up (standard R seats, not the leather)!? My one does, I have no idea what is causing it, only the drivers one. It is a shame the button thing to help push it down doesn't also lock in place for it on the way up also (it has a fairly weak "ratchet" like behaviour where it will ratchet up easily, and needing the button to push it back down)... I have a good mind to wrap some tape on the poles to jam it in there a bit harder....
Regarding deals for the R, good luck, they are no longer making them (I remember reading somewhere the last orders for the R for Australia were about January or so) and so the stock they have now can be sold for a premium (aka RRP no discounts).
Ok whats the story, washing the car for the first time and tried to lift the wipers but they hit the underside of the bonnet???? Is the solution too operate the wipers and stop them in the vertical position to be able to lift them out of the way?
Turn ignition on, then off. Tap the wiper stick down one ( to the x1 ) wipers will move the the vertical position on windscreen. From there will lift no dramas.
In France at moment. Was apparently the latest message I read, but was to quick to hit reply before the following pages to load. Besides, the only answer given was: Read the manual.
