I actually like the standard sound lol however I have noticed when on the freeway and backing off the throttle at around 110 / 120 kmh that there is a slight reverb back through the exhaust at first i thought it was some type of vibration but am 99% sure its the exhaust, has anyone else noticed this?

Yes have noticed that sound, also made when backing off the throttle in mid rev range. Sounds like the exhaust scavenging under vacuum. Love that sound. sounds like a mini F1 car.

couldn't care less if its artificial (soundaktor douvalaky) or if it's genuine. Love it!

That is engine overrun. it happens when the throttle is closed (eg coasting or slowing down). Sounds fantasic and tends to happen around 2,500 - 2,800rpm (on my car anyway).

Enjoy it - its normal and sounds great.

I agree about the P3. I also have one, and although i didnt really like it at first, its really grown on me. Looks very classy, lighting matches the other interior lights, and the range of info it can show you is great.

I still would prefer a traditional needle guage as thats what im used to, but the P3 suits the car better.

Today (and yesterday) as our Sydney autumn has been divine, I have been driving with all windows down and sunroof fully open, and the resonance from the stock exhaust is something else! You don't really hear that so much with the windows closed (and even with just the drivers down, not so much). It seems on slow down the vibrations and noise are more!! Maybe I don't need that Milltek after all, just drive with the rear windows down LOL...

My old ScanGauge II I bought many years ago outperforms the P3 with more functions and gauges and much much cheaper but not nearly as classy.

Like the R, I pay for that last point and happy to do so. No CF stick ons for me :p

Just follow install instructions exactly and don't rush the vent removal

Ran a foam strip to seal around the air inlet - has reduced intake noise

I understand why it isn't a ramjet type intake and why it picks up dual intakes but it could be better designed.

My only thought on that intake design is to allow cooler air to flow into the engine bay to keep things a smidg cooler for the engine, gearbox & firewall perhaps, rather than as a secondary place for the inlet to pull air from?

The actual air intake is pulling air (-ve pressure)

Notice there is a splitter in the grill intake piece, with one section going to the intake, and one going to the gaping hole underneath..
