i don't know how you guys can stand it! new to the forum and just ordered my gti last week. don't even know approximate date of delivery but the dealer said there might be one in the country with the specs i wanted so fingers crossed!

I was impatient from day 1 all the way to delivery.... 4 months

The wait is inevitable for most people, so you just have to deal with it.

For me, I found I went through different stages, at first I was super excited, then after a couple of months I got over it a bit and lost the spark a little. But once the delivery was within a couple of weeks I was pretty excited again.

I pretty much lived on forums for 4 and a half months reading as much info as I could about the car.

hvco1, have you heard back from barloworld on when you will receive your car?

They are expecting end of this month. As I am heading overseas on a work trip this Saturday I have booked in 5th July for delivery as I return on the 3rd. The new car coordinator seemed confident the car would be ready by then.

How about you? I know the cars on the Queen Sapphire have cleared customs now as the status now shows DELIVERED FROM. Should not be long now...
