I sold my last car in mid March (it departed at the end of March), and I only took delivery of my GTI on Monday! Trust me - ~10 weeks without a car is painful; you've got nothing to worry about.

I drove over the Bolte Bridge in Melb today and saw the Queen Saphire (I think - nearly rear ended a CX7 trying to look!) and some white vans rolling off it....

Pick up day for my GTI is tomorrow The wait is nearly over.

Gentleman, the wait is nearly over for me, just got back from the docks tonight after paying a short visit to her (Queen Sapphire). it is surely a city on the sea.. my car is due for the dealer in Burwin tomorrow and i am expecting to cuddle her the following weekend.. can't wait.. it's been worth it so far.. will post some pictures of my new ride soon.. stay tune guys..

I went down to Port Melbourne today and saw it come in and dock... I also saw the GTIs coming off the ship!

I didn't see the ship my car came in on, but I was amazed at how big the thing was.....hopefully you have a short wait like me...less than 2 weeks from docking to delivery.

Thanks mate, only problem is that I will be overseas on a work trip from the 19th June to the 3rd July...

I tried to check her out of the Port Webcam. Of course she was on the dock between the 2 cameras . . . bugger.

She is no her way to Port Kembla, so that is all that matters now.

Good luck in selling the mini. I have had my Mini on Car Point for the past month and only 2 enquiries, then put it on Ebay and have 10 people watching it and about 5 enquiries in the past 6 days. So best off putting it on Ebay.

Almost a month passed without me scraping my detroits only to be in a rush today and stuff the front left one up a bit. I pulled up where I normally park to get the train and I didn't even feel anything. Got out of the car and did a lap to make sure everything was alright and noticed that my tyre was touching the kerb so I got in a reversed a bit to get it off the kerb (as I have just driven straight into the parking spot). Got out and looked and I had scraped about an inch lengthwise on the edge of the rim.... a sad day it is in my world. Luckily I got the rim and tyre insurance so I will wait a while and get it fixed once I get more damage to them!

Consider yourself lucky! My GTI landed on 31/5 but I still haven't received any word on when I can take delivery. I even asked but they just say "we'll let you know". Grrr I was hoping I could get it before the long weekend!

Mine has been sitting at the dealers for about three weeks. I am awaiting for signoff on the lease from my employer otherwise i would be in it now. Hopefully this will be done next week. The wait is killing me knowing the car is only up the road and yet is still so far away.

finally picked up my car after so much ****.
i ordered a sports pack leather dsg and they gave me a stock car with leather. wtf
but now finally have my baby + extra sunroof at no cost! hurray
