So its basically the start of December? ouch!

This may help though... I ordered my GTI in the middle of March and was informed that it would not be here until October.

The car arrived in Melbourne last Monday (14th). I am still yet to here from the dealer however. The the pre deliveries lady had previously Emailed me saying that it would be available for pick-up on Mid/Late July.

I'm not too sure what needs to be done once its arrived, other then have customs look at it and send it to the dealer.

My mate told me that peoples pick up dates get delayed usually because the car was damaged during shipping and it is sent to a panel beater to have this fixed before pick up.

So fingers crossed that has not happened to mine...

I was also informed that if I decide to get the Skoda Bluetooth kit installed in the car it will delay my pickup until late July, early august, because they need to order the part in. I am yet to give them confirmation on this part after reading reports that the iPhone 4.0 software update has pretty much broken all bluetooth functionality on alot of devices, the Skoda kit included!!! so I dont know if I want to spend $1500 on bluetooth that will not work with iPhones.

You won't be waiting long at all if it's in the country now. Average delivery time from dock to your door is 2-3 weeks. Even allowing for fitment of accessories, tints and other mods, you'd be looking at under 4 weeks.

Yep, your car has been bombed on or something. 4 weeks If the dealer didnt care.. 3 weeks or less If there's some love. Some people get around 2 weeks when the dealer is on top of things. But then there is always good and bad dealers like everything.. BUT OCT!?!? Dude, theyve used car for rallying or something..

My car was off the boat at Port Kembla on the 12th and delivered to the dealer yesterday. Ten days from boat to dealer seems pretty quick. Caught me out actually so I can't pick it up until Monday 28th...

I don't think you read what he wrote. His original ETA was oct, now they told him mid july, but the car is in country so he's hoping sooner.

Got my gti today! (Carbon steel, 3 door, DSG, MDI)
It's so good the DSG is amaizing no way would i like to go back to manual now, it shifts so perfect makes the car effortlessly quick.

MDI work really well just using an 8GB USB flash drive and it has no problems with anything, i also like how some radio stations show what track they are playing.
The stardard strereo is really loud and clear better than what i thought it would be, Dyna audio must be really good then.

Something i noticed is the red LED light's next the reading lamp that shine down onto the gear lever nice touch. I could rave all night but i have to sleep.
