Ordered my GTD last week, white, leather RVC & MDI. Going to the production line in 2 weeks.

Mine should be delivered by Oct. Sounds like a long way away.

Picked up my Carbon Steel GTI today, with leather, DSG, Detroits and MDI.. Got it tinted straight away as well. I am very impressed with the stock stereo.. It is the best stock audio system I have heard in a car of this price range. And from me, that should not be taken lightly as generally I have about $5K work of audiophile gear in my car - obviously it does not compare to my system, but it is good enough not to make me want to change it in the near future.

Got my white GTI today! Feels so sedate in drive mode but really goes in manually. I'll be driving it more tomorrow.

Only thing that I don't like is it's a little slow navigating through songs on the iPhone. But it drives great!. Handles very sharply.

Good to hear you are happy with the stock stereo, i've recently ordered a Golf R (which i assume has the same standard audio system) and have been thinking i should of opted for the Dynaudio upgrade, hearing this eases my concerns slightly.

I agree that the stock system is pretty good also. I did find I had to do some adjusting from time to time but I put that down to the file source more than the system. I had a 'Harmon Kardon' system in my Mini and it wasn't as good as the GTI system.

I found the stock sound system in my GTI to be rather unimpressive. Just sounds a bit lifeless, doesn't bring the music alive. Doesn't matter, I'm too busy listening to the engine anyway

Well I am very jealous. My car arrived in the country 3 WEEKS AGO on Sunday and I have not heard a thing from the dealer.

I actually contacted them to let them know my contact details had changed, and I had some questions to ask, and I have not heard a thing still.

Keeping in mind here, that I have contacted them via Email and phone.

The wait is unbearable!!!
