I have called and Emailed the dealer and the manager and I have had no reply except for "It will be ready soon"

I honestly cannot see what needs to be done. I was getting no dealer fitted accessories on the car. It should be ready to go from the moment it gets off the ship except for a quick wash or whatever.

Lol... you should take a trip to the docks some time and have a look at how the cars come off the ship.
There is hours of work to be done.... There are forum members who have cried when they turned up to collect their car to find it was still in the state that it came off the ship (seriously).

What state do they come off the boats in? They are covered in plastic stick on stuff all over the car last time I saw pics from docks and cars waiting at the dealership?

Anyways, I contacted my dealer and I was informed that I can pick it up early next week, just need to let them know when I want to get it. They said they can order the Skoda Bluetooth kit for me, however it is on backorder and they have no idea when it will be available to be installed. So I said that I would get it fitted later, as they said the wait for the bluetooth could be a month or more, they just didnt know.

Good news that you can actually take delivery next week mate, i'm sure as soon as you drive out of the dealership in it you'll realise the wait has been worth it.

But it's all worth it once you finally sit in and they start showing you how to use indicators

Paid just over $61700 ex GST as it's a novated lease and with the VW Corporate Plus Discounting (which is about $2.5-3K and $695 dealer delivery)

Well done. That's a great price. Congrats. Does that include servicing / fuel ? Did you try the 6sp manual ? If so how would you compare it to the DSG ? Can i also ask which dealership you went with ?

Yep, that's right, there's not much discount to be had on the R.

The Novated Lease gets the vehicle ex GST, but you need to factor in the GST at the end (based on the sale price). No servicing or anything included in that price. But the novated lease packages fuel, servicing, tyres etc. all ex GST and paid in pre-tax dollars. Its a good way to buy if it works in your favour. For me it drops me out of the top tax bracket and saves me a fair amount in tax. The downside is that you have a minimum amount of kilometres to achieve from March to March each year (in my case 25001).

The corporate plus gets a $2850 discount and reduced dealer delivery of $695 (instead of the ~$1300).

ya, that is a real good deal man. my novated lease company wouldn`t let me lease a GTI with similar options on it...said there were too many options on it, above their allowed threshold...which I thought was complete BS

See my subsequent post re price clarification. Only drove the DSG as that was what I wanted all along. Drove an S3 Manual though, preferred the Golf DSG.

Went with Austral in Brisbane, I bought my wife's Mark V Comfortline (the wheezy 1.6) there in 2008 and have also had Landrovers, Hondas and a Volvo though them. They seem as good as anyone else...they are after all car sales-people. I did give up going to them for service though as they were very expensive I found.
